Good layout and hub to Onitsha

Requires improved services. Learned that it's been shut down has been closed to traffic for 5-wees (from April 9, 2018) to enable contractors undertaking facility upgrade of the airport put finishing touches to the runway and other aspects of the project.

I was actually impressed with the structure here. I expected way less. The airport isn’t very busy but it is clean and functional. There is an ATM machine (as at the time of this review). The VIP lounge is comfortable but no WiFi or refreshments available. Staff are neat and cautious and there are airport taxis on ground.

Airport facilities are ok compared to other Nigerian domestic airports. Jets not allowed to fly to this airport due to inadequate landing guidance and safety equipment available. Only turboprops are operating. Many times flights are cancelled hence not reliable if you are planning to take another flight within short hours after departing from Asaba airport. Another important requirement is public rest room (Toilets)for men and women. People who come here to drop off or pick up have difficult time when they wait for long nature's call need to be answered.

Delta state is a fascinating, culturally diversed, exciting, beautiful and welcoming place you can ever visit, and having this modern international airport will surely open up this tranquil, and captivating part of Nigeria to the rest of the world.
I hope the government of the day will do everything within their power to see to the successful completion of this project without further delay.response / report this review -

This is a small airport, but it is undoubtedly the most modern airport in Nigeria.
It meets international standard of airports in place like USA. It reminds me of Bradley International airport in Connecticut. Just smaller than Bradley.
I hope they complete the taxi-ways to the ends of the runway and begin to have international flights take-off from there.response / report this review
