Nice even though I didn't get access to see the environment properly

I went for an interview on the 13th of April 2023, it was my first application and I was so disappointed because I was refused visa without proper interview and checking of my supporting documents.I was invited by my child hood friend to attend her doctorate degree graduation ceremony which is coming up on the 17th of May 2023. In the refusal letter there are number of supporting documents listed that will proof that you have a tie with your home country and I have all of that, am a mother of five growing children my Last daughter is 9 and still in primary school how can i travel and abandon them without coming back, i have my businesses and am even sponsoring myself, I have proof of my properties, my bank statements, travel itinerary, invitation Letter from Colombia University and her own invitation letter, her own ( my friend)account statement, house document and all but she my (interviewer)never asked me for any of this before refusing me visa, it's really not fair that one pay for visa and you are not even properly interviewed before refusing visa, please I beg you to look into it I was just going for 10days because I can't leave my children for long. Thanks .

My experience with the American Embassy is amazing, each time I visit the embassy for training or use the library, I feel very safe because security is up most, at the embassy space. The environment is clean, green with vegetation and so peaceful. All staff of the embassy are friendly and very polite. The monthly programs organized by the embassy, are very educative and self development driven, Staff are smart, interactive and always willing to be of service, you are escorted in and out of the embassy premises. A proper means of identification is needed when visiting the embassy.

Very thorough and organised. Pretty straightforward. Took almost an hour after entering premises till I walked out. Lots of people though but process was orderly. About 4 steps in all. Interview itself took less than three minutes.
