Adam power plant more popularly referred to as Adam IX is a thermal power plant using combined cycle of gas and steam. Located in Rivers state, Adam contribute about 400MW to the national grid.

AFAM POWER STATION is OK in terms of power generation and transmission as of old but it has been abandoned, so government should try to resuscitate the power station to boast power generation in Nigeria
