What a lovely place for a family to spend a long weekend at! Very friendly family running the lodge. We stayed in tented camps with our children in one tent and us in the tent next to them. Tents are clean and well maintained, has only 2 beds and table and lamp, but the bedding was clean and fresh, tents and toilets/showers spotlessly clean. Their restaurant and swimpool areas are comfortably set up and clean. The pool has a small cement slide which the children loved. The bar is unique, I did not like the mounted deer heads myself but to each his or her taste. My kids loved seeing the ant eater and we could not believe the head of a Kuland, a deer that is a cross between a Kudu and Eland. Never seen anything like it before, so very educational. They had a Gemsbok in a large enclosure but we found out it was only temporary as it would soon be transported to a nearby farm. Kids loved the rabbits, large aviary and the pot belly pigs and piglets. Food was exceptionally good, we could see it was made with special care. They have a light lunch menu of sandwiches, salads and chips. They also offered wall climbing and zip line which the kids loved, they went twice. There's a small put-put course, just for entertainment so don't expect much. Nearby is a golf course but we did not go there. When our son was injured by accident (his friend hit him on the lip with a bat while they were playing cricket) Ina at the Lodge gave us the contact details to a wonderful doctor in Gobabis, 30kms away, and we were assisted and back at lodge within an hour. There's a small tuck shop in the restaurant area to buy chips and chocolates/sweets and a curio corner with handmade items for sale. And two peacocks walking between the guests, but very friendly. We had an amazing time and will go back every opportunity we have!

Beautiful place. Worst service ever. One person trying to make breakfast for 2 people and can't do it after an hour of waiting.
