I'm enjoying the new space. There's a lot more to do. It's clean, it's spacious, the staff are friendly and helpful (especially Jakuu). The sales team are super awesome (especially Emmy Pirrko). The classes are also really good. The instructors will always check if you're okay before proceeding.

What a great disappointment! Even though the gym moved to new premises and supposedly "upgraded", it's overpriced and has actually [downgraded] to having no squash courts, a 4-lane swimming pool, a cramped weightlifting floor - plus some fundamental machines were taken out and not compensated for. Why not get some Dual Functioning Training (DFT) machines? The membership fee is so high, it goes head-to-head with that of the Claremont Virgin Active SA, which is a much bigger and better gym.

Not recommended. Signed a one year membership when they were still in the old facility. New facility has less weightlifting equipment, smaller pool, no squash courts. The place is way overcrowded in the mornings and evenings, to the point where it's not worth going during those periods. They have no guest policy. If you have someone visiting from out of town they will be treated as if they had no connection to you. They will get 1 free sample entry. After that it will cost them a ridiculous $220 per visit. I will not be renewing my contract.

I am really disappointed with this place. I cancelled my contract and was assured that everything would be taken care of, I paid my dues and moved on. This happened in March 2016. I just got a call from Creditors in SA saying that I owe 3700 Rand to Virgin Active in outstanding gym fees. They messed up good and I can try and sort this mess out. Utterly ridiculous. Do not go here! EVER!

I don't get the logic of building a gym smaller than the previous one.
I moved to Virgin Active, because my previous gym became smaller and had no equipment. Now, I'm experiencing the exact same thing at Virgin Active. Very disappointing.

Extremely disappointed. Major downgrade from the old one. Wayyyyy to small! Useless Kauai restaurant that takes up unnecessary space. Not all machines are there! The treadmills are packed to closely to each other! The studio is smaller!!! Everything is smaller. Overall everybody and everything is just crammed into a space that simply cannot handle it.
