The restaurant was fully booked, but the bar serves a full menu so I snagged a seat there. Fantastic place. Lively, fun conversations, good wines, excellent food. Highly recommended!!

One of the most beautiful and classy restaurants we have been to during our stay in Namibia. Superb location. Recommended!

The Tug has an awesome view but service was so slow even though we booked a couple of days in advance. We got there before 9 when i reservation was at 9:30 pm as advised and waited an hour to be sitted. Food was pricey but wasn't as great as expected and portion sizes were tiny too.

Fabulous meals. Always fully booked. Marvelous staff and service. Most enjoyable experience. We couldn't get a booking but the Manager found a table for us. Sitting in the Tug's bar enjoying cocktails; we were pleasantly surprised when called for a sitting.

An excellent restaurant at the beach of swapokmund. Terrific fish menue. The service is perfect. The Tug is a part of an old ship and the interior is just great! It is not the cheapest restaurant, but this secondary. Great atmosphere for dinner when the sun goes down and you sit on the higher level where the captain steered the ship!

What a service! All the staff were great and when we didn’t finish a meal (the fried mussles were a bit dry), they sent the manager and then the chef to see if something went wrong and how they could improve the meal in the future. Please do try their amazing home made ice-creams!

Its a wooden restaurant build on the end of the swakop jetty which is approximately about 100 m long its a lovely place to hangout and eat, Enjoying the sunset upon the ocean and relax. Looking on the other side is the beautiful noticeable view of the Namib desert, of which the country's Name ( Namibia ) is devised from. The restaurant gives you a clear view of the coastal town and the vast Atlantic ocean.

Some amazing fish, you can tell when seafood is fresh. If you liked this visit Monterrey or Sausalito. Beautiful views!

The food is excellent and the staff mostly friendly. It's very loud and can be cramped as the restaurant is full of bigger groups, tourists and kids.

A good restaurant at the ocean with fast service and excellent food. The oysters were the best in town. We were also impressed with the Oryx fillet. Parking is secure. Overall, if you need an easy place to eat, try the Tug. You cannot go wrong. It can be busy, so reservations are recommended.

    Excellent sea-side seafood restaurant.

Build on top of a decommissioned tug boat, the restaurant has a wide selection of choices in their menu, however the seafood items are the speciality.

    Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Must make a reservation, as it can venom really busy even during the week

Upscale seafood restaurant right next to the Jerry Pier and the Atlantic ocean. Need reservation to sit inside, otherwise, you can sit and enjoy the weather on the balcony seating outside. Excellent service. Must try lobster, very attractive price.
