Beautiful, wild, huge, immense, picturesque. I had to walk quite a distance out from the 'campground' in order to fit this rock in the viewfinder. The colours at sunset are magical, or was it the local wine that was making me see things? Not sure if it was safe to walk off like that, what with all the wild animals in those parts. I should have asked the guide. Anyhow, I made it back alive.
Wonderful place
great place where to stay.
the camping site was quite full.
but could find a great one in the big area.
should have stayed 2 nights to enjoy more the place.
This is a must see. Perfect place to camp, the campsites are quite big and far from each other. The view is amazing, and the whole experience will bring you closer to nature. There are no showers/power outlets/lights at the campsites. Make sure to bring a torch. The showers & toilets with running water are near the reception. The staff is friendly and helpful. Make sure to book a guided tour. It is worth it. Sunset/Sunrise is a must see.
Impressive location!

Such Awesome scenery to explore around every corner with spacious camping
Such a beautiful, beautiful place. The campgrounds here are enormous and the nights we stayed it felt like we had the whole mountain to ourselves. Hiking Spitzkoppe is highly recommended, and definitely sticking around for a sunset in/around the camp. There's plenty of rock hyrax around (fascinating creatures), and lots of other wildlife if you look for it.
Try to spend the night here, or at least enjoy a sunset over the koppies.
