Results: U/13 Second Group 1 Gerald: Hi Parents My Headache Team😂... The Boys did me proud. Although we did not Qualify for the next round( Should have won the match v Hentis and not draw) they did well. I saw a Unit! A Team that played great combination Football. That brought on the field what was learned at training. On paper I feel that this team is one of the best I have coached. But plenty of "Big Heads" keep us back. This changed this weekend. I am really excited to see them at our SFC tournament. I feel with a bit more hard work we'll put a lot of fear into our opponent's.

Results: U/11 SILVER Gerald: Hi Parents. The U11 squad have come a long way! From loosing a single game and dropping their heads for the rest of the Tournament to fighting back from 0-1 down to winning a match 2-1. Those are huge steps for these players. We are slowly forming into a squad that works together during difficult times. Reaching the final was more then anticipated. And they did it with style and passion.... Even the players who did not get that much game time, where an important part of the success achieved. A team is nothing without the players who fill the bench and when called upon give a 110% to the team. As a coach this is one of the best things to have in a team, that is willing to fight tooth and nail for each other no matter how much and when the player is being used. From age 10 it is important to start learning that Football is a Team sport. That there will be times that one is benched and that it will frustrate the player. And that there will be times when one plays a lot. The important thing is to know that one can not do without the other. Supporting each other through thick and thin, standing together as a unit will create a unbreakable bond between players. This is what we at SFC are about. We want to be a competitive team. We want to be the best. But it can only be achieved if Star players, Bench Players, Warriors and Supporters(Parents) stick together Thanx to all parents for their Support.

Results: U/9 A Third Group A U/9 B SILVER Gerald: Hi Parents... The U9A team did well. Even if they got knocked out in the group stages. They played against the best possible opposition that is being offered in the Country. A few tweaks and the Boys will do very well at our SFC Tournament

The U9B team was a surprise package! The spirit and determination they showed got them as far as the finals. It warms my heart to see these players achieve what they have achieved. Being in a B team does not mean you not good enough to play. But joy and hard work in the game can take one very far. So proud of the Boys. Can't wait.

Results: U/7 5th in group A Gerald: Hi Parents. The U7 have improved from tournament to tournament. From loosing 1-8/0-6 ect we moved to 1-2/1-1/0-2... We also only had 5 players who played a tournament before. The new Boys did well even if they were on for only a few minutes. But bringing them in slowly is the right way to introduce them to the competition phase. I as coach am proud of what they have achieved so far. Great job by Coach Phillip. Thanx to all Parents who came along. Your support is always appreciated.

    SFC Business League 2018

The SFC Squash Club hosted the prestigious annual Business League during June and July 2018 with four teams displaying exceptional skills in the quest to secure bragging rights as champions for the next twelve months. It was perhaps one of the closest contested encounters in the history of the club with the four teams needing to battle it out for the top spot until the last round of play. The four teams were Visions Consulting, WB Hardware, Kesla Kitc...hens and KABT Holdings.

Matches were played best out of three (3) games, point a rally to 11 per game. The results over the four rounds were:

Round 3: WB Hardware vs KABT Holdings: Heinz (2) vs Gareth (1); Arno vs Michello (0); Wilco Aschenborn (0) vs Jacques (2); Wilco Rugheimer (2) vs Ole (1); Christiane (0) vs Ruth (2). WB Hardware drew with KABT 6-6.

Kesla Kitchens vs Visions Consulting: Sarel (1) vs Jaun (2); Danie (0) vs Werner (2); Wynand (2) vs Rudi (0); Torben (2) vs Anton (0); Charne (0) vs Lientjie (2). Visions won 6-5 against Kesla.

Round 4: The final round consisted of three singles matches (players ranked 3-5) and two double matches (players ranked 1-2). The final champions would be crowned following the final round and it was impossible to predict a winner at this stage…

Singles Results Ole (1) vs Anton (2); Christiane (0) vs Lientjie (2); Sarel (2) vs Bernd (0); Wilco (2) vs Torben (0); Charne (1) vs Ruth (2); Jaun (0) vs Heinz (2).
