Love it here! Such a chilled place and friendly staff. We’ve set up our tent but can use all the facilities which are great as well! Would definitely recommend this place!

Really nice relaxing place. You can choose to sleep in a dorm, twin room or pitch your tent. The Salty Jackal is close to beaches and the center, has a fully equipped kitchen, fridge, honesty bar and cool hostel vibe. The wifi is great and owner and staff are super friendly and helpful.

Located in walkable distances to many of Swakopmund's attractions lies this lovely little backpackers with a homely feel and great hospitality! The host, Oliver, and his helpers are very friendly and enthusiastic about making your stay as enjoyable as possible, will answer all you need to know about Swakopmund, the surrounding area or even Namibia. Fittingly decorated according to Oliver's passion for surfing you can even enjoy a lesson or two in surfing with Oliver, have a braai and/or enjoy a beer with him and other guests. You could also just explore the area and look forward to having a great place to stay for the night. Whether you're alone or in a group, this place should definitely be considered for making your visit to Swakopmund one to remember.

Super Atmosphäre. Sehr sauber, nette Menschen und sehr zentral gelegen. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause und möchte gar nicht mehr weg. Man trifft hier so viele verschiedene Reisende, ob local oder Touri, und hört zahlreiche Geschichten und erfährt hilfreiche Tipps! Für mich die beste Unterkunft in Swakop!!!

Nice spot, well equipped kitchen for self catering and the owner was helpful and friendly. Quite small hostel with just a few rooms so it felt super homey! Place was kept very clean.
Our only complaint was that it was a touch on the pricey side compared to the other hostel we stayed at in town and some of the room pricing didn't make much sense to us (it would have been cheaper for us as a couple to take both the private twin and private double with ensuite, than to just rent the double with ensuite as it was charged per person, rather than per room!)
New hostel though, so give it a try and have fun!response / report this review -

Had an amazing stay here! Olli was super accommodating and even prepared a vegan lasagna for us! Cozy vibe and filled with other chilled out guests. Very clean and comfy. Highly reccomend it!

Super chilled homely vibe. Perfect location on the road to Walvis Bay and the dunes.
Oliver knows all the surf spots of the skeleton coast including the fabled Skeleton Bay!
