This is the southern camp in Etosha and very popular. Due to the high volumes of people it can be crowded and difficult to have a meal and relax.

Bookings early is recommend.

The busiest of the campsites in Etosha and for me the least favortite one. The campsite is fine but they host big groups of people so bathrooms are busier and dirtier (but still relatively clean). The waterhole is quite nice, ok as first stop on your visit.

This camp has a really great waterhole for game viewing making for a special experience. The campsite area however is functional with zero views and the bathroom facilities could be better maintained.

(waterhole chalet) Rooms are basic but clean and well furnished. Food is simple yet fresh and savoury (buffet). The biggest pro is obviously the waterhole, with animals coming every hour of the day and night : Rhinos, elephants, giraffes, thousands of birds

Tourist rip off! Stopped there for lunch and wanted just something small like a snack.
When we were checking out the Snackkiosk we were intercepted by the waiters and led to another table and supposed to eat the lunch buffet.When I asked about the Kiosk and something small the impolite waiter said kiosk is closed. So we first ordered something to drink a Savanna dry and a Windhoek lager, our very unfriendly waiter brought a Savanna lite and a Tafel beer, without commenting it. I said thats not what we ordered and just replied thats what we have. We went then to the kiosk had the drinks we wanted with a toast which was barely eatable. Never ever will we stop there for food, rather return to the hotel!

If you're coming all the way to Etosha, the watering hole is THE reason to book at least one or two nights here. It is just amazing, and if you don't stay within the camp, you will miss out on the awesome night waterhole scene, where you can see rhinos (hard to see in the daytime), elephants, and even lions come.

Pros:
- waterhole chalets are the ones to get, they allow you to pop in and out of your room to check to see if there are animals at the watering hole, rather than spend hours sweltering in the heat and insects outside. Request for one close by - chalets 1-4 are great.
- Deluxe waterhole chalets even better, you have a second story private balcony to view the watering hole (but at a distance, so you need good binoculars)
- Aircon rooms
- Fridge in the rooms
- Bed was OK, we got a good night's sleep

Cons:
- Rooms are small, not much space to put luggage or other things. But then again, you'll be spending most of your day out of the room
- Lots of spiders and insects in the rooms, so if you have a fear of them this might be challenging
- Food is challenging. Lunch and dinner are both buffets, and neither are inspiring, but they are overpriced ($230 I think for dinner? $215 for lunch) for what you get.
- Apart from the BBQ meats (rotates nightly) there's not much for vegetarians or non-meat lovers
- Breakfast is very basic, buffet style again.

Overall I think its worth putting up with the hardship at this camp and staying two nights, just for the watering hole experience.

Situated in etosha national park. Great water hole sightings for animals and a clean swimming pool. Good rooms some overlooking waterhole. Value for money.

There are rules and regulations when you enter at the first gate they ask for your identification meaning it's safe. when you drive through my God it's very beautiful the first thing that caught my eye was an elephant very big but beautiful with his family the nature is breathtaking "Gosh" as you drive through you see different kinds of animals you would want to take them back home unfortunately that's their home,the campsite is amazing %100√ there are pools very clean I know you will enjoy yourself I'm planning to go back again at least 3 times per month.😚😍

The camp itself and the camping is OK. The restaurant however is realy bad. We came at 19:30 and foundation there were onlangs the leftovers from the previews shift.

One of the worst places I have been to in Namibia. The staff is mostly unfriendly and not at all motivated. Upon checking in we were told our booking had been cancelled. We were given a room nevertheless, but only for one night even though we had booked two nights. It later turned out they had overbooked the camp. Food is almost too gross to eat. Consider staying outside the park (the drive to Okaukuejo is not that long) or at another camp. The waterhole is overrated too IMHO, you get to see much more during the day and you can take better photos then.

Our room looked like it was recently renovated but it already had a rundown look. the reception is inefficient and poorly organised despite all the staff members in the reception area.
The buffet was ridiculously overpriced for the so-so food and the restaurant staff was indifferent and seemed to be more interested in the tv than serving guests.

The exact opposite to Rossmund Lodge. Great food but the rooms and the location were in an miserable condition. The waterhole with all the animal sightings - Rhinos, Elefants, Zebras etc. - is a huge benefit.

Terrific setting, but chalets are poorly kitted out - braai places have pieces missing and there is no cutlery or crockery provided. This makes it a bit tricky for visitors who have flown in and can't bring this with them. Dinner at the restaurant is also horrendously overpriced, so best to self carer of you are able to.

Despite the camp is capable of 500 guests, it doesn't feel that big. The double rooms are ok, but I would really advice to book a premier waterhole chalet. So much space and comfort, but the fact you're right next to the waterhole is what makes you never want to leave. The food varies from good to great. And you can have a very refreshing dive in the swimming pool.
