Probably my favourite campsite in the whole world. A real oasis on the rivers edge, with beautiful birds and animals and the most amazing bath rooms

Rustic and authentic with a nice bar and restaurant serving a different set menu every evening.

It is on the Okavango river opposite a Hippo colony visible from the shore. There is a secure swimming pool in the river and the site offers mokoro trips and sunset motor boat cruisers up the river.

One can camp or stay in one of many tree huts on site offering double rooms and family rooms. Massages can be booked at reception. There is firewood and Ice available at the bar with a curio shop. Wi-Fi is available in bar but found it unreliable in March 2018. Had poor mobile data reception via MTC mobile network.

Warning the road is difficult to navigate in the rainy season in a car and not very clearly marked. The toilets and showers are rustic and in nature so expect to find bugs.

Ngepi Camp is just great. View to the river directly from the bed. A Lot og hippo and crocodile. Nice food, a great bar 🍹🍷Lovely staff

Beautiful Lodge on the okavango river. Friendly staff and good service. Perfek for kampers. Rooms are at the river you wake up and see the river.

Campsites need some attention and Swipe machine needs attention

wow a well worth 4 day drive from Durban. a nice starting point with a funky difference. the staff are very helpful and friendly, the oblutions quirky and fun and the campsites perfect and pretty.

I'm sorry for the poor review but I did not find it very pleasing visiting. It's a bumpy 4 km drive to the place. The staff there doesn't even look like they want to work. Very unprofessional. You can see that people dont really care. Its a perfect place if you young and want a cheap place to over night with a decent bar. But if you looking for good quality service and not a river "pool" then Ngepi is not for you. Its beautiful yes but did not feel very welcome there.

We loved it
Beautiful camping sites on the grass with sade right next to the river. Great swimming pool. Ablution facilities were dirty and neglected but a friendly staff member cleaned it for us.

A very nice campsite just next to the river. It's a bit off the highway, but relatively easily reachable. There's a lot of different activities to book from, a bar, kitchen and a shop. The camping spots have power but only from 10am to 10pm. Theres plenty to see around the camp, even the facilities are wonderful. Why I am not giving 5 stars is because there is not a braai grill on every camp site, the camp sites are pretty close to each other and there wasn't hot water when we stayed there.

Although a busy/popular place, it is such a fun place to stay. We had a great time exploring all the different bathrooms and other sights within this camp. Also we did a traditional canoe tour right from the camp -- our guide was a local from the nearby village who answered sincerely our questions about what local life was really like. The camp does seem to do its best for the environment and locals, which I can really respect.

Very nice special place on the river. The view from the deck are amazing with lots of animals. The camping sites near the river are the best. The restaurant serve good quality of food, and the staff are very friendly. Take a dip in the river swimming pool. The mokorro trips on the river are very good.
This place is highly recommended when you visit Namibia.
