Mandate and Objectives of the Federation as lifted from Article 2 of the Constitution
The objectives of the NABF are in particular:
a) to improve, promote and spread the sport of boxing in all its forms within Namibia, in the light of its educational, cultural and sportive values as per indications of AIBA and in accordance with AIBA, as well as to initiate programs designed to support young athletes;
b) to organize at the National level its own national or regional competitions;
c) to ensure that all international, regional or national competitions in Namibia are organized and held in accordance with AIBA regulations;
d) to safeguard the safety and the interest of the boxers;
e) to prevent any method, practice or action that could compromise the regularity or the result of the competitions;
f) to safeguard the common interest of its Members, to ensure the mutual respect of its Members amongst themselves, towards the affiliated members and to ensure the unity within NABF and its affiliated members and to act loyally towards AIBA, AFBC and the other Confederations;
g) to support, to entertain a good relationship and to cooperate with AIBA, AFBC and with other recognized Confederations;
h) to develop revenues in order to be financially independent, this without conflicting with AIBA and AFBC regulations nor with its commitments;
i) The NABF shall be an autonomous body and shall resist pressures of all kind from any government or other authority
j) to arbitrate the disputes that could arise between its Members taking into account the interests of boxing.
