Hakusembe Lodge is a beautiful lodge, nice scenery, with friendly staff. Something to consider is to have a friendlier menu, especially the buffet menu's. The smaller kids could get an option of an A la Carte menu because When travelling with small kids, eating from a buffet menu does not cater for kids. You pay a 390 per head for a child. Also please consider the time for lunch menu's, kids swim and gets hungry and have to wait for 19h00 for the dinner. When enquiring you get told lunch is over.BUT overall a good experience, clean rooms and the sunset boat cruise is beautifull. Ill definetly returnwithout the kiddies

hakusembe river is a very nice place and very save place.if you are rive at hakusembe you are at home.we have bird waching activity sun rise..and sunset cruise.activity.all this we have at hakusembe river lodge.and fishing.

Very good Campsite with own bathroom and green grass to lay on.
Also it was the best restaurant we had on our trip through Namibia.
Not exclusive or super fancy, just very good food and friendly staff. Solid!

Overnight stop at this gem of a lodge. We attended the sunset cruise. Friendly staff really good at spotting animals, beautiful view and tasty sparkling wine. The breakfast buffet is not to be missed!

Featuring air conditioning, Gondwana Hakusembe River Lodge is set in Rundu, 5 km from School. Free private parking is available on site. There is a private bathroom with a shower in each unit.
Booked once in the last 48 hours Being so secluded, the rate they quote can be automatically be for DBB.
Its a very clean and hygienically Lodge with an affordable and negotiable prices in which one would travel 16km on a so road to go and have dinner in Rundu.

Mama Freda quite seriously puts love into her cooking as head chef. Great tasting food.
The lodge is a great so over as you travel though the region. Well appointed and nice place straight across from Angola on the river.
The story of how Gondwana lodges came about, how they run things from food farming/supply to people enablement is a great one and appears to be genuine. It's just a great implementation of how to do the lodge creation and running with people and conservation.
