Multinational computer corporation Microsoft has named local training academy Exedin as its first and only official ‘learning partner’ in Namibia, strengthening the company’s footprint in Namibia.
“This is not only a new milestone for Exedin but for Namibia as well, Exedin Executive Director Tashi Shiimi ya Shiimi said recently.
“We are very fortunate to be able to offer these services in Namibia at an affordable rate. This is an exciting partnership and supports expansion into towns such as the coast and far north in the near future,” ya Shiimi said.
Thanks to the official recognition, the local academy is fully certified and licensed to offer training and international certification in all Microsoft technologies.
These include consumer staples such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, but also advanced IT products such as MS SQL Server, SharePoint, Systems Center, Exchange Server, Microsoft Dynamics and Windows Server – more suited to budding tech gurus.
“At Exedin, we are of the same school of thought as Microsoft, in that we both believe that software and devices and other technology, when properly used, can transform lives,” ya Shiimi said.
