One of the best national parks in Africa. You have a good chance of seeing a good variety of mammals and birds and the scenery though flat is spectacular.

This is an epic wildlife experience. We stayed three nights in the park and loved every minute of it. Take some snacks and drinks with you as choices in the park are limited. Buy the Etosha park guide in the gift shop at Okakuejo and enjoy checking off all the animals and birds you see. We we lucky enough to see a leopard walking down the road on our way out of the park on the last day.

It is an amazing place, but as we went during the wet season we didn't see too much game. The waterhole is a beautiful place to sit and watch. The campsite can be crowded with overland trucks at times.

This is a very beautiful park. It's has a variety of animals and plants to see. From the big five to all the little ones who don't make.the mainstream but are equally beautiful. One can also enjoy their resting camps, their historical features, such as the castle. And their restaurant services a great ,with kind waiters and good food. I recommend going their in the morning, or at sunset if you want to see different animals. Midday,you'll only mostly see antelope, zebras, buffalo,and turtles.lol. lastly,you can go with your guides that are available their, or you can drive yourself which is cheaper if you have your own car,but you have to be patient. And a neat trick is to just follow the tour guides car cause they know where they are going,so.It's like your on tour with them but you don't pay. Be sure to have fuel ,though there is fuel services in and around the park. And there is plenty of other stops to.make on the way their, such as lake oshikoto,which is one of the worlds deepest estimated lakes. You'll love it .

The park is government run (NWR) and in need of maintenance, but great for viewing for big game and wildlife.

2 days are needed to experience the park and recommend staying at Namutoni to the East as it is quieter in peak season.

The park can be enjoyed on both a self drive or on a guided tour and would suggest doing both. The park offers camping and air conditioned rooms and has a restaurant, bar, swimming pool and shop at the main gates.

In summary the park offers some of the most divers animal life I have seen and worth a visit.

Love this park. Free to roam (drive) through roads throughout the park. Take your time or just drive through when heading to Owamboland. Either way you'll be glad you did. Lots of wildlife. Fun trying to spot all the animals and bird life just purchase the Etosha guide and start hunting. Don't miss this highlight of Namibia.

Come prepared with a solid itinerary and make sure to stay in more than one location across the park! Its a vast park and worth making sure you choose a 4wd or at least a larger vehicle with air conditioning (in summer). Getting in and out is easy, make sure to be patient when waiting at waterholes, you never know what may come out of the trees next.

I would absolutely recommend that's where you should go to the very first second you arrive in Namibia😊 haha . I will share few pictures I took,only few because I want you to see everything by yourself and you won't regret it. The entrance fee isn't a lot ,You spend a day Game driving and see the Big Five and all the other friendly animals 🐅🐆🐒🕊🐇🐿🦁🐘 Breathtaking Namibia sunset it's a Bonus

Simply stunning. Huge park with lots of wildlife and good camps. Plan at least two or three days since also the distances between the camp are big. Get out and spot the wildlife!

We were only in Etosha for one day which was not long enough. We saw giraffes, zebra's, elephants and Lions. We only had time to drive around the east side, but I hear the south west area of the park is a better to animals. A very cool experience! Some of the roads are sealed, but most are good condition dirt roads. There are also petrol stations and places to get food/drink in the park if you're there all day. I'd recommend buying one of the booklets that has a map and list of the animals you'll see, it's fun to tick them off.

We saw almost all of the big five. The park is full of beautiful animals and lovely nature. Only very big minus comes from the condition of the roads. Driving was just horrible! I would think twice before driving there without a four wheel drive car.

Awesome seeing so many African animals but the roads could be approved. Also a lot of roads were closed due to the weather they said.
It would be great to get a simple map at the entrance.
Be sure to go out this NP to the time indicated on your receipt, otherwise you have to pay another full day! Of course without the permit to get back in to the park the next day (which you kind of payed for). So it is a little stupid when you arrive at lunch. At least give us the chance to pay for hours or half days..

Wonderful park, wild life guaranteed! Spend 2 night and three day at least. 4/5 hours from Windhoek.
NWR Campsites are cozy and dinner buffet is handsome.

What an adventure, visited this park with my extended family in August 2017 and was blown away at the end of the excursion. This national park is slightly bigger than Wales, UK geographically and the roads within the park just extends for several miles. It took us two and a half hours to drive from the main gate to our resort and it was such an adventure seeing all that wildlife. WOW - lionesses, rhinos, giraffes, ostriches, spring bucks and lots more. The apartments themselves were just so elegantly decorated and very tranquil. Our morning excursion started at 5.30 am and it was freezing cold, so if you book a morning trip, make sure you are dressed up warm and take a hot water bottle or two, as at that time of the morning the cold just bites into your core. The excursion lasts all of three hours and if you're lucky or if the wildlife is active you'll get to see some really exotic animals. As for me I was hoping and praying to see an elephant, a patriarch, but that didn't happen at that time of the morning and I was a tad disappointed. The trip concluded at 8.30 am and we went for breakfast, the menu is quite sumptuous; you'd get everything you expect for a continental breakfast - word of advise, in the afternoons settle for your lunch indoors (that's all I'll give away).
Then it was time for us to leave, still no elephant :-( we got in our hired bus and drove out of the resort, again another long adventurous drive, with various wildlife along the way. Suddenly, in the distance we saw this elephant, but it was several yards away to get a good view or photograph, I thought well that's all we're going to see of this beautiful animal. Then another several yards down the road right there in the grass verge under a leafless tree, this patriarch in all its grace and splendour, standing about 11 feet high just appeared and what a beautiful sight to see; I was completely blown away by its size and grace and felt, this has really made my day.

The park's public facilities are not great. Just ok. But the variety of game is world class. The Pan itself is something amazing. It has its own secrets and its just awe inspiring. If you are anywhere in Namibia, better go see Etosha and the Pan

Incredible seeing animals in such large groups. The accommodation was booked way in advance but from having gone to visit a few I can say the one closest to Anderson camp is the newest and nicest with an active waterhole. I would love to stay in one of the lodges with view of the watering hole.

Animals around every corner. Good is that you see so much. Bad is that you see so much! It's a bit like a Safari park rather than the wild Africa you really want. However, still a great experience. Botswana is better though, IMHO.

The land of endless horizon, stargazing and thousands of wildlife. How could someone not enjoying it?
Great camping site with distance to wildlife waterhole where you can observe elephants, giraffes, lions, and hygena.
Do not miss the milky way and southern cross stargazing during the night, it will be memorable!

This place is too awesome to be true. But yet it is. We we're amazed every second of our four day stay. Incredible wildlife, great campsites, beautiful sunsets and amazing star gazing. I will definitely go back here as often as i can.

You can drive your own car in the park and freely visit. We had chance to see giraffes and a lion besides much more animals, it really worth it!

The Etosha National Park is an absolute Highlight in Namibia. The campgrounds are very good, sanitary conditions are good as well and there is a lot of animals to see. Don't miss it!
