Checkers Hyper is one of few places in central Windhoek where one can perhaps get all the items on the shopping list

Best little grocery shop on the way out of town. Staff is extremely friendly! I lost an envelope with N$ 5,000.00 (!) on 08.04.20 and had no hope of ever getting it back. Today, one of the ladies recognized me and asked me if I remember forgetting something a while ago? Believe it or not, it was all my money, still in the envelope, untouched!!!

Poorly laid out store. They are trying to be everything to everyone. Personally, I think they should prioritise food an do away with the toys, kitchen equipment etc. Stick to food and do it well. Create some space to move and breathe.
