The camp site was very crowded. Good challetsa, but not so good for camping with tents. Average price level. Poor servivices for tent campers.

No bedside light or even a table.Insuffrably hot ,not even a fan in the rooms.Try navigating to the toilet in the middle of the night ,in pitch darkness after disintangling oneself from mosquitoe nets.,

This is an amazing lodge with a wonderful view on the River Kwando.
The rooms are actually Chalets with Tent walls but a real roof. So if you always wanted to experience real luxury camping, this is the place to go,.
Because these "Tents" have everything.
A large double bed, so two beds that you can also move apart a bit, in case you don't want to sleep in one bed and of course a mosquito net.
A a nice bathroom with shower and even solar operated electricity, so you can charge your smartphones and cameras. Not enough for a hairdryer or water kettle, but there is free coffee and tea at the main building, so no problem.
But the best thing is the terrace in the front of each house, where you can sit, have a drink and watch the river flow by.
5 of the Tents/Houses are on a little Island, which is connected with wooden bridge to walk over and thus a little away from the main building we found them to be the best ones. They wanted to give us a room nearby first, but it was no problem and they were friendly when we asked for a room a little further back and gave us one on the island. Just wonderful.
We also had a dinner included and while at the first night it was just ok, with chicken as main course, the second night was really delicious with some game meat that was really tasty. Don't get me wrong, the first one wan't bad, but nothing special. Both were actually three course meals, which is usual in Namibia, if you don't have a buffet.
We will definetely try to come back, even though it ist quite far away from everything. But isn't this the thing you want when you are going to Namibia?

We randomly stayed at camp Kwando as it got dark and we couldn't drive on.
It's top notch, but you can still camp there cheaply. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. The place is beautiful, although it's got more of s garden rather than wilderness feel to it.

I loved the calm tchobe river setting. The huts were quite nice
Didn't love the food though
There's a nice village there which is a must see.

Staff were excellent - rooms very comfortable and spacious. Bathrooms unfortunately have no doors so it's a bit awkward if you're sharing with a sibling/friend. Food was average for the cost (3 course set menu at N$ 240)

Nice, relaxed campsite with very friendly staff. Beautiful views of the Kwando River with Botswana just on the other side. The accommodation is mostly tented and on stilts right by the river and is of a very high standard. The camp is only 20 minutes from the Mudumu National Park, which was a bit of a disappointment (in the winter at least). Only getting 4 stars because the set meals weren't quite as good as I'd expect for the price.
