What a worthwhile drive out of town. After enquiring in town and with friends back home, the Camel Farm was recommended far above the vendor right in town. The experience was really great. The lady owner was delightful and informative, and advised us not to go on too long a rideand she was spot on. Get the experience and the feelingbut a long ride would be agony.
She also took us through her fascinating garden of desert plants, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

It's great to be able to support the local people. The woman who owns this farm is funny, interesting and makes the whole experience just that much more great. My son just loved doing this and wants to come back for every holiday!

If you cant go up North or the Middle East for the experience, this is the place for you. The owner, mature lady, was the most informative and friendliest person we met in Swakopmund. She explained everything about camels, the town and its history and how the farm came to be. I would recommend this place to everyone who stops at or passes through Swakopmund.
