Lovely hotel in Swakopmund. Very elegant and modern inside with a nice bar to relax in, which we enjoyed during our 2 night stay. Room comfortable with a balcony and partial sea view. I was delighted to have tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was a good variety, with fruit, cereals, hams, bread, eggs and bacon. Oddly enough I didn't see any jam, which i might have missed. Nina at reception was superb and booked a day tour for us to sandwich harbour. This hotel was very good value for money and would thoroughly recommend for Swakopmund. Ate at Kuckies Pub and the Tug. Preferred the pub.

Lovely modern, comfortable and spacious rooms. Very minimalistic which we love. (Un)fortunately we were so in the moment I forgot to take photos of the room.. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the owner goes out of her way to make sure your stay is enjoyable.
Ala mer is one block walk away from the town center-making it easy to get to local shops and restaurants. It’s also across the street from the beach. Very convenient location. Secure parking available but on-street parking is also safe.
The only negative I have is that because it’s all concrete you hear when doors are opening and toilets flush-but that fades into the background very quickly.
We will DEFINITELY stay here again. Room advice-book either room 3 or 4-they are top floor, sea facing rooms. 😊response / report this review -

Absolutely fantastic and highly recommendable, it is like arriving at home. Friendly and supportive Management and Staff. Rooms and breakfast outstanding and of quality. For sure one of the best accommodation venues in Swakopmund. Thanks A La Mer, we definitely enjoyed our stay with you. "We will be back"!
