It boasts a beautiful garden with a relaxing atmosphere. It is not far from the shore and a lot of restaurants,banks,hotels and it also houses Samora Machel ' s statue.

Didn't spend too much time there. But it is a beautiful place with a view looking down at the shore and the development currently taking place. There is also a restaurant, I'm not sure about their service as I didn't order anything.

It's a beautiful garden, with a vast diversity of plants/trees. It's quiet and nice to ambient to read/study or just relax.
I don't give it five stars because there are a lot of mosquito like insects after 4-5pm, which sting and irritate the skin, making it very ichy. It also doesn't have shade in many of the benches provided by the park.

Take your family here and have a good day playing with the kids. Free Wi-fi available and lot of plants to find out. During the weekends you can see just married couples with their families taking pictures for memories. Historical Garden, no doubt this is a place to visit.

Beautiful gardens in the city centre. Nice relaxing atmosphere close to the Casa de Ferro and Catedral de Maputo, so you could visit all three within walking distance. Great for a day exploring the city.
There's some sort of enclosed area in the garden that's under renovation and will really add something special when its eventually complete (it still hasn't opened since I visited it a year ago in 2016).
In the centre of the garden there are several trees where really big fruit bats hang out during the day. You can see them in the trees in huge numbers. Really worth the visit even to see just the bats!

It's one of the oldest gardens of the city. It's really beautiful and a nice place to go sit and enjoy a book under the shade of trees. It has bats so when the sun goes down watch out :p. Has a café, not sure about the cleanliness of the washrooms. And has free WiFi (yet really slow)

Since the rehabilitation, the city's most central and famous garden really become a landmark, close to what it used to be in the past, before it became a dangerous place, occupied by homeless people. Now, it's open to the general public and you actually see people enjoying it. There's still work to be done, mainly in the maintenance department and it also needs some infrastructures, maybe a café and restaurant. One of the letdowns is you may only enter through the Samora Machel Av. gate, all the others are locked.

One of our great botanical gardens. Recently rested and presented a new more modern image with a large and diverse garden. It offers the opportunity not only to know the botanic garden as to spend a good period of the pleasant day.

Clean and quiet, very interesting plants all around and a colony of giant bats, which don't bother at all. Basic but working toilets, there's a small restaurant informally shared with the tennis club. Very good also for jogging and kids.
