Hotel rooms and meals were great. The hotel's location closer to the market, mall and shops makes it quite convenient for shopping and for meals. Only the billing system was quite problematic.

Nyc place, good food, frindly staff but bathroom was very dirty especially the tiles on the walls, you can see that they don't know how to clean as the was water lines in the shower and where they keep hairdryer

The breakfast could be improved.
Attention to detail could also be improved as i would often have to wait for a dish to be replenished during the breakfast meal or ask one of the staff if this is going to be refilled.

I enjoyed staying at Tivoli - the service was friendly and professional and the room was clean and neat and is well appointed. The standard of food in the dining room was also very good. I will certainly return when I come to Maputo again.

I was very positively surprised at the quality of the room and the service. I have stayed multiple times in Maputo at several hotels. Never at Hotel Tivoli. The first suprise was the cleanliness of the room--unusual at other hotels of the same level in Maputo. The service: the breakfast room and the breakfast offer a very good breakfast with items replaced often.Even if one comes slightly at the end of the time slot for breakfast, the items are still available. Also the personnel: I used to stay most of the time in my room working; twice a day someone would knock on my door asking whether everyhing was ok. I definitely will stay again in this hotel in my next trips to Maputo. The only thing I missed in my room was some kind of lighting on the top of the desk allowing me to work more easily.

The Hotel is in a dusty part of the city of Maputo, yet close to some good amenities, none of which were pointed out by the hotel staff.
The front desk staff are friendly and seem competent, yet failed to tell me of any activities, restautants, safety concerns close to the hotel.
There is only 1 lift, and for a 5 story hotel this seems 1 shaft short from a safety concern.
The rooms have been renovated in recent years and are very comfortable.
They are large, well decorated and all the facilities associated with business travel.
The wifi is however VERY slow.
From a food perspective the hotel restaurant is best avoided. Breakfast goods other than the fresh food provided is absolutely sub standard. Unfortunately that's as good as it gets, as Supper was a disaster of note the one evening I chose to eat at Tivoli. Soup - Spinach and Tomato, was palatable. 295 Mets or R65. Mains was listed as a Veal Steak, with roast vegetable and chips. Well, well. Stirfry cabbage, chips, (lots of chips) and paper thin, literally 2mm thick, tough as shoe leather piece of meat arrived. TERRIBLE. 595 Mets or R132. The Hotel also has a small Gym, which was quite nice to be able to use.
Overall, the room was quite good, but the rest was poor.

To be honest the stay at Tivoli was wonderful, the room was fantastic and I enjoyed the breakfast.

The only too thinks I had an issue was the coffee or tea in the room was not enough and as I only came back late in the evening I could call for replenishing as the time for that had passed. The other thing is if they could include a few more English channels for the TV.

The Hotel is just classic and very neat. welcoming staff and friendly. the only concern was that check out was a bit slow, took a bit long to clear due to currency (Dollar) exchange rate issues.
the food was good and a variety was provided.
a bit more needs to be done on sound proofing some rooms which face the high ways.
internet was excellent. very good hotel and will surely come back, puts Mozambique on world map.

Tivoli Hotel has excellent services, no comment about that, it is a lost heaven on earth. I can honestly state that it's a home beyond home, I cannot say, 'home away from home", because some of our home does not match with the standard of Tivoli. In a nutshell, it is splendid.

Reception staff were not so efficient. The service was poor and you have to make constant follow ups and they get irritable.There was also reluctancy from other staff to communicate in English. The shuttle driver struggled to speak in English and was unreliable. He dropped us at Maputo VIP and he agreed to pick us up at a certain time but never showed up. That was such an inconvenience at late hours of the night.
The hotel is more suited for business not leisure. We were disappointed that there was no pool and chill out area especially if you are on family holiday that is definitely a requirement.

Pleasant stay overall. Room very clean and neat. Staff at reception very helpful and efficient. However, fresh flowers at reception would have made us feel more welcomereception kind of lacks that feeling without fresh flowers. I would have loved to have more towels in the bathroom. Dining room could do with air conditioning. We would have loved bran or muesli for cereal at breakfast. I didn't understand why each time we left our room, someone would come into our room, and we would notice on our return that someone had been to our room. We didn't understand why that was.
