No cushion no bed, you have to prepare food yourself
Best place to relax out of town...
They had everything that we needed. A great place.
Nice Calm and Serene Beach.
Clean place and good atmosphere.
Remote place though worth visit.
A truly remote camping site. The road is about 60 km from Beira, the nearest town, along some good and some really bad gravel and sand tracks. English is also a challenge as only Portuguese is spoken by the Camp personnel we encountered, the owner was no where to be found and this can be seen in the general condition of the camp site. For camping I was charged 200 MT per person which I found to be extremely reasonable. I did inquire about the two newly built chalets that looked very nice but was asked 4000 MT per person. The ablutions have also been recently upgraded but the hot water is extremely limited. In our group of three only the first person had hot water. Electricity seems to be a challenge too as there were no lights in the toilet and shower facilities even though all the wiring was in place with globes. It does look like this could have been a very nice camping place a few years ago and there were many facilities, lapa with a bar area, braai area, entertainment area etc. but all of these have gone into disrepair and thus are slowly degrading without tourists to help pay for the regular maintenance. Overall we did have a really good one night satay right on the beach (200m walk) and further North on the beach there is a very impressive mangrove swamp that you can walk to and look around. The camp site personnel seem to have a large pack of dogs that do get very bothersome during your stay but after chasing them a few times with a big stick and some choice words they got the idea to stay away. Overall we really did enjoy our stay be it in very basic conditions.
Praia fantástica com zona de mar e zona de rio, acesso apenas com 4X4. Não há sombras no local exceto na zona de acampamento.
Boa praia
