This place is great. It has the most extensive food menu I have ever come across, its one of the most luxurious hotels in Maputo.

The hotel is too big for the maintenance and stafff crew employed to really do a good job. While a lot of effort os going into it, entropy and dis-repair can be seen and it may not be long till they become endemic.There is nothing at all to say about the cuisine in the two restaurants available, room service is on cash basis which is another slap in the face for any guests who gives this place a chance. The casino is ok, till you start to lose cash, otherwise it is a lovely place.

It's so sad to see something so beautiful get neglected and run down. So quickly
I usually book into southern Sun and decide to give this new hotel a chance. Went twice.
Had to cut the second stay short and transfer to southern sun as the conditions were beyond terrible.
It's a beautiful building and on paper has everything a good hotel requires
But it's badly run, badly maintained, filthy, has no decent clean food.
So I don't actually see how it managed to get more than a one star rating let alone 5

Horrible, under staffed, rooms smell badly, bathroom smell badly, room never vaccumed properly, lunch and dinner food sucks, breakfast not the best but ok. Room Service is the worth you are charged 250 MT every time you request,and food gets to your room over the time they predict it and comes cold. if you buy food outside the hotel, the hotel or the restaurant don't give you silverware to use because you did not purchase the food at the hotel so you have to come with your own silverware at a 5 star hotel.

The hotel staff were selective at the event. When me and colleagues would request for drinks, they wouldn't serve us, but when our white colleagues requested, they received immediately. Same as if we were in a line, they would serve people behind us and after that come back to us even though we were in front. Very bad!

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. If you don't smoke, please make sure you book a non smoking room. Rooms are spacious and have a nice view over the ocean. We haven't tried the restaurants.

Perfect chinese restaurant. All hotel is built in marble. Good and well treated gardens and lots of space outside.

The Chinese restaurant in hotel has disgusting cuisine. Pictures in menu are good, but food is very bad. It is not tasty. I don't advice eating there at all. Service is also bad, we had to wait for waiters for a long time to bring drinks, open bottles. They don't have glasses for beer. Surprisingly, for a fancy hotel. Prices for food are high and portions are big, but food is crappy. Definitely, there are better places in Maputo to spend time and money.

Very poor service. Waited over an hour for room service; then had to go and fetch it myself. Food average to poor. Staff not well trained. Will avoid it in future. Definitely not five star quality.

An enormous, ugly building that makes the famous Avenida Marginal in Maputo look even worse. The prices are high and the decoration is of questionable taste, to say the least. The only thing apparently interesting going on seems to be the restaurant.

Top quality hotel conveniently located. As this is still a very new hotel, it is still relatively quiet with not alot of guest. Very affordable given that this is a high end hotel.
