Camping with your own clean ablution close to the lake, highly recomended!
We booked a Boma to camp at Laguna Camp and Bungalows for December 2016. It was the first time that we camped at Laguna. We were pleasantly surprisedwe immediately felt welcome and a few hands helped us to pitch our camp. Our camp site was spacious and the ablution facilities on our site was spacious, clean and private. Every morning when our camp started to get to life 2 ladies very quietly appeared from nowhere and started cleaning our site. We were even spoiled with a few dishes that was "magically" cleaned, when we returned from an outing. They never invaded our personal space and was very cautious to not disturb us. We had several meals at the restaurant and we enjoyed the flavors, service and the price. The swimming pool was a winner as our son of 10 could safely swim and play in the area. They have a pool table and a put-put play area all close by the swimming pool.
To access the lagoon is a relaxing short walk and there is a well maintained private access road for vehicles to drive to the lagoon or launch a boat.
I can certainly give them a bad review???? The weather was unpleasant for a day or 2, nothing that any human could prevent.. There was a few days that the electrical power supply was down but that was a problem caused by power lines in the area that was not maintained. Louis did phone the authorities and demanded that they solve the issue which they temporarily did, and assured him that once the holiday season has passed, the problem will be fixed.
We all know that we are entering an area that is very unpredictable making provision to cook on gas, a light or two that works with batteries and extra water is just normal measures to take while staying in Mozambique. Being far away from civilization does not give anybody the wright to be rude, demanding, loud and disrespectful toward neighbours and those who tried it, was dealt with immediately in an un-bias way.
Thank you Louis and Angela, looking forward to see you with our next stay.

Really a place one must visit, Mozambique as a whole is geological masterpiece. Laguna camp provides one with a wonderful standpoint to experience the beauty of Mozambique in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
Great place to relax away from the hubbub of Bilene, nice pool, friendly people, camp sites are individually fenced off, road to get there is very sandy, possible in a sedan but may require some help if you get stuck, 4x4 recommended. Map location is incorrect, is slightly more to the right, you can see the pool
