This hotel is a bit overrated, definitely not 5-star quality, maybe 3-star. The rooms are spacious and quiet, but the finishing is very bad. Lights not working, balcony doors not closing properly (security hazard and insects, especially moskitos - Beira is a malaria area), also the cupboards doors. Reporting does not help, no action is taken. The drainage smells, towels are worn out, etc. The breakfast is average, to say the least. Staff is friendly, but not properly trained. The gym is basic, with most of the equipment broken; only one treadmill out of 5 working, cycles and x-trainer broken, no rowing machine. A big drawback is the distance out of town. With the on-site restaurants being average, one has to pay a taxi to get a decent meal.
All in all: one can stay here, but don't be fooled by the 5-star rating!

Breakfast not so good. The chef is chinese who cannot speak English, however i have been told that that is the best you'll get around.

Very beautiful place with green grass and twinkle lights in the evenings. Only problem was when you leave your room you take your key card with you and all the lights and electronics turns off automatically including the aircon
