  The place is gorgeous AMD well kept.
  I've been there for a week end stay.
  There are two types of lodging. The best, of course, are the most expensive - views from the lake and more comfort. The less expensive are also nice but you have to be OK with having the visit, into your room, of geckos or even, more rarely, small mice trying to get your food.
  The conditions are good, the restaurant is reasonable and you can do walks, boat tours, relax in a small water tank while looking at the view of the lake down below. Finally you can drive into the Limpopo national park. The park is not great, though. You won't see many animals. And the scenery is pretty only in some parts.
  But this is a nice weekend retreat I recommend it.

  Beautiful gardens. Very friendly and helpful owner who's always around. Magnificent views over the dam. Apparently anglers love this place for the bountiful tiger fish. Restaurant made an exceptional dinner for us. Highly recommended.

  Very well maintained place. Managed by south african woman. Lake view is awesome, specially in summer sunset time. Chalets are clean, there is water but not drinkable. Lights turn off at 9 p.m., then you have not electricity. Good morning with singing birds. 4 stars just because it is expensive, but i love this place.

  Great views of the lake. Camping facilities ate great. Didn't try the food at the lodge but there were many dinners. Hosts were vet helpful. No electricity at campsite and only between 6-9pm atbthe lodge.

  Unexpensive Lodge with big cossy, quiet rooms. The owner is super friendly and the food is ok. It is a long, sandy, dark road to get there if you come t night but easy to navigate. We were super happy. It is not far from the entrance to Limpopo Park and on the way you get amazing views to the dam.
  Very recomendable place!

  Covane Community Lodge is a very nice and inexpensive lodge located by Lake Massingir, near Massingir Village. It is very close to the entrance of the Limpopo National Park and the Karingani private reserve, which borders Kruger National Park. The lodge is very nice, the houses are built in a traditional but very comfortable manner. The staff is very helpful. The room includes breakfast and you won't be hungry after it. There is a great view over the lake and at night, if the sky is clear, you can see lots of stars.

  Lovely lodge, friendly owners. In the evening a beautifull sun set. Nice stop if you travelling from South Africa to Mozambique.
