General hospital? I think you should name it once it is truly general enough. Half done construction. Pointless.. Especially for the pregnant woman who is suffering from contraction pain and gave their life away because of the damn practical nurses during the coming new born. Degree and above level. Nurses and doctors. Useless ones.

Not a place I want to be in. This place needs a major upgrade as well as a second general hospital else where in Kuching. It's over crowded with wait times being hours at a time. It is not clean and who knows what you can catch staying here.

The photo shows record keeping of xrays out in the hall. Fair to say that there is construction going on which may remedy some of the issues at the hospital, but it should be high priority to build second hospital.

The facilities of this general hospital may not be as high end as other hospital in other state of Malaysia, however the attitudes of doctors and staffs here are great. They are responsible, friendly, humble, work as a team and highly committed. The parking isn’t easy to find.

The Sarawak General Hospital has improved tremendously over the years. With the new wings added and the specialist clinics under one roof, I must say every time I went for my medical appointments it was very crowded. I usually spent half a day there for my appointments. Parking space is just not sufficient. The government should look into provide more parking lots. There are 2 private parking lots outside the hospital compound but these too are also always full. They charge RM5.00 per entry. Therefore illegal parking sometimes is unavoidable.
There is a canteen and other stalls selling food, drink and tidbits. Inside the hospital, on the ground floor, there is a Smartshop selling varieties of stuff including light food and drinks as well. ATMs are available on the ground floor too.

The Sarawak General Hospital, under the Ministry Of Health (MOH) or Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM), has very much improved in terms of services, facilities and also the hospital staffs' courtesy, unlike the old days. As with any government hospitals, which provides free to very minimal subsidised medical charges, overcrowding of patients and visitors pose a major problem, hence, finding a proper place to park your vehicle is also troublesome despite the fact that quite a huge area has been allocated for public carpark.

Good services and nice staffs. I had experience stay back here to taking care of my brother here for one week.

Last time there is no parking problem due to most people come by public transport or sent by relatives. Nowadays, most people can afford buying cars and everyone bring own car, that is the main cause why not enough parking. We cannot blame the Hospital.

Healthcare is not bad for a public hospital. It is, however, like any other public healthcare institution, too crowded.
They should do something about the parking problem. I understand there is private car parks opposite the hospital. But it is still not enough.
There is so much land. Instead of producing more malls and empty shop lots. Invest in a decent car park for your people.

    SUGGESTION:
    1. Streamline appointment systems since the government has been SCREAMING DIGITAL ECONOMY.
    2. Build a multi-level car park. It is most likely still going to be filled but at least ease some of the parking struggles of the sick.

No parking spaces. The place is always flooding comes monsoon season. Dirty places here and there . Had the worst health experience here when get treated. I was very traumatised by Dr. Lee Cha Len , an oncologist here while I was battling with cancer.
