Rhino X-Run 8 Km

Location :

The first "Rhino X-Trail+Sand Run 8Km" which will be held annually is set to take place along the running track nearby beautiful coastal/beach roads (Final route to be notified soon) in Kota Kinabalu on 6 December 2015. It will start from Likas Stadium to the roundabout near the Likas Mosque, but must face several obstacles (obstacles that similar to the context of habitat fragmentation, Forest degradation and etc) along the beach before returning to Likas Stadium.

For the runners/participants, we also provide lucky draw prizes which will help the winners to understand our Sumatran Rhino situation in Sabah or Borneo. The prizes for the runners include 2 lucky draws trip to visit and stay in (i) 1 lucky draw to visit wildlife work either in Indonesia or Singapore, and (ii) 1 lucky draw to visit rhino prime habitat (Tabin Wildlife Reserve). More attractive cash prizes for the winner (open, veteran and school category)

The key aims of this run includes to enhance the knowlegde of the public in wildlife conservation especially the Sumatran Rhino through information dissemination to all runners.
