Enjoyed having tea, hot chocolate, scones (with butter, strawberry jam and cream), and strawberry with ice cream. With the rain pouring down, warm and snug inside. Lovely.

Very old hotel, they need to keep the place clean and upkeep it. The good thing is the environment and garden is great. The amenities are limited, if you're going for this hotel please bring your own stuff. Not to expect much.

Went there for tea and they serve very nice scones. Unfortunately, we had a challenging experience there as we only had 1 plate for 3 adults and 6 children. Reason given from the waitress on duty is illogical. We ordered 2 sets of sandwiches (6 pcs) and 2 sets of scones (4pcs) with 1 pot of tea and coffee. We still cannot figure it out how to share 1 plate with 6 children! They expect us to hold our scones or leave it on the bare table when we have to attend our kids.

The employees on duty at the tea garden is not attentive at all. We locked outside the garden when is raining. I do not understand why they have to do that unless they want us to visit their back door through the kitchen to enter their indoor 'cafe'.

Overall ambience is nice but it would be better if the car park is easy to access.

Really nice service. Quite expensive. Really cold at night but all worth it. Nice views and quite place. They have fireplace at the dining hall.

Beautiful place & nice people but a bit run down. Some people might find it spooky due to abandoned quarters aside from the main building. Quite pricey.

Good environment but can be better if well maintained. Especially toilet.

Pleasant stay although some comforts are lacking. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere and scenery outside every window. Charming ambiance. Service is good and you'll be well taken care of by the owner. Recommended.

    friendly staff.
    historical place.
    beautiful greeneries all around.
    has character.
makes you feel british haha scones and tea.

go once. if you like it, go twice.
if the price is not a hindrance, go more.

Located at a fair distance from the town centre, the ambience and the vibe that the place gives is very relaxing. The flowers and all the green plants make me calm. I recommend it for people who want to have a break from the bustling city .

Filthy rooms and indifferent staff. Beds are literally old and rickety..plus they didn't even bother to clean the rooms/toilets before letting us in for the night.

The queens size bed is very queaky and free wifi can't be used. The room looks very old and should be renovated.

Nice places and beautiful view. Difficult to find the place. Good for rest not for walking and no kiblat direction.

The family suite is horrible ! Don't trust the photo they put on Agoda or any other travel agent website! See the photo below that's the real one! The room also not clean, well may be should say dirty. And that's not all! The worst thing is the water supply, no water from the tap. They hotel provied us two bucket of water to use. Can't shower! The basin also broken! Totally disaster!!! Ruined our holiday!

Look at the good side the garden is really nice. That's the attraction for us. But why because of that stay here? There are many hotels have nice garden. So don't choose to stay at here. You can drop by to have a coffee or tea. That's more than enough!
