Location :

KMC, or previously known as Pusat Muzik Kelang and Technics Music School, was inaugurated in March 1980 at a house located in Jalan Dato Dollah, Klang, Selangor with about 15 students.

In November 1980, we moved to A3 Floor Shop Lot at Persiaran Raja Muda Musa, Klang. At that time, we were only offering piano and organ lessons with 3 teachers to conduct the entire courses.

In 1985, we were appointed as the 1st organ dealer in Malaysia by Matsushita for sales and services of National branded organs and Technics musical instruments.

To impart our musical courses to more people as well as to provide convenience to our students, we started opening new branches in other Klang areas and Subang Jaya as listed below:

1991 - Branch in Subang Jaya, in SS 15/4D
2001 - Branch in Jaya Jusco Shopping Complex in Bandar Baru.
2010 - Bandar Botanic (opposite AEON BKT Tinggi)

Our current days...

Our 3 main branches in Bandar Botanic, and ss15 Subang Jaya continued to grow and for the convenience of our students dealing with our HQ Office, we had moved it from Persiaran Raja Muda Musa, Klang, Selangor (opposite La Salle School) to Bandar Botanic Branch in may 2013.

We have also accepted more dealerships and now, apart from National and Technics brands, we are also the authorised dealer for Roland, BOSS, Casio and Yamaha combo musical instruments.

Essence of our offered courses...

We value our original mode of teachings and therefore, maintained our traditional techniques of teaching music at all our branches and at the same time, we instill more creative programs, designed to teach children, students and adults to appreciate and learn music in various interesting ways.

Whilst having interesting, happy and fun lessons are important, we also designed our courses to help students of all ages and abilities to explore the joys of music making, by understanding basic music skills and the appreciation of music as an art as well as a means of self-expression and development.

Foundation course for senior citizens, toddlers from the ages of 2 ½ and kids of elementary age from 4 to 6 years;
Diploma for Preparatory Piano, Young Performer; and
Adult courses in various instruments.

The above classes are taught individually as well as in groups, providing students the options of having a one-to-one lesson or learning with others in a group.

We would like to assure our students, prospective or existing, that all our lessons are taught only by professionally trained, enthusiastic and dedicated KMC music teachers, who have combined experiences of over 30 years.

We do conduct preparations for several external Boards of Examinations and issue certificates of achievement to successful candidates.

Just a little sharing of what we found online…

Do you know there are differences and similarities in musicians and non-musicians?

We read that brain structure and functional differences within these two groups of people are distinctly different. The interesting part is, apparently, “musicians have been shown to have significantly more developed left planum temporalis and have also shown to have a greater word memory compared to non-musicians.

And another interesting part that we would like to highlight is the similarities of musicians and non-musicians. Apparently, human brains have an implicit musical ability!
