KL Youth Jazz Orchestra

Coached and led by Malaysia's finest Jazz Musicians including Steve Thornton, Patrick Terbrack, Julian Chan, Gabriel Evens and several more leading jazz greats, KLYJO is the country's first Youth Jazz Orchestra. Modelled on the National Youth Jazz Orchestras in the west, KLYJO will perform at local venues and participate in local and international jazz festivals. Entry is by audition on 21st (rhythm) and 22nd (horns) May 2011 and is open to all musicians who play trumpet, trombone, sax, piano, bass, drums, guitar and hand/latin percussion and who are 28 years of age or under. Members need not be Malaysian citizens. Rehearsals will be every Sunday at 10am at Bentley Music Academy, Mutiara Damansara
