Coaxial Cables
Coaxial cable (or "coax") is the most common cable used for transmitting video signals. The name "coaxial" refers to the common axis of the two conductors.

Construction
A coaxial cable has a solid copper or copper-clad-steel centre conductor surrounded by a non-conductive dielectric insulating material. The dielectric is surrounded by foil shield/s and/or copper braid/s which form the outer conductor and also shield against electromagnetic interference (EMI). The outer conductor/shield is encased in a PVC/PE jacket.
Most coaxial cables for video applications have a nominal impedance of 75/50 ohms. Their differing electrical and physical characteristics make it important to select the correct type of cable to suit the application.
Coaxial cables that conform to U.S. Government specifications are identified with an RG designation.

The meaning of the individual components of the designation are:
The three most commonly used coaxial cable types for video applications are RG59/U, RG6/U and RG11/U.

USA RG59 Standard
Standard construction: 20gauge(0.81mm) CCS center conductor, gas injected PE dielectric; inner shield aluminum foil bonded to dielectric; outer shield of bare aluminum braid wire; jacket PVC white or black. Nominal O.D is 6.0mm.
General item: F5935V, F5953V, F5953BV, F5960BV, F5960BVM,F5967BV,F5967BVM etc.
*** F- foam PE, 59- RG59, 35- 35% coverage braid, B-bonded Al foil, V- PVC jacket, M-messenger.
Also can do Bare copper as center conductor.

USA RG6 Standard
Standard construction: 18gauge(1.02mm) CCS center conductor, gas injected PE dielectric; inner shield aluminum foil bonded to dielectric; outer shield of bare aluminum braid wire; jacket PVC white or black. Nominal O.D is 6.86mm.
General items: F635V,F640V, F650V, F660BV, F660BVM, F690BV, F690BVM.
*** F- foam PE, 6- RG6, 35- 35% coverage braid, B-bonded Al foil, V- PVC jacket,M-messenger.
Also can do Bare copper as center conductor.

USA RG11 Standard
Standard construction: 14gauge(1.63mm) CCS center conductor, gas injected PE dielectric; inner shield aluminum foil bonded to dielectric; outer shield of bare aluminum braid wire; jacket PVC white or black. Nominal O.D is 10.16mm.
General items: F1140BV, F1160BV, F1160BVM, F1190BV, F1190BVM etc.
