  Service was great and the beds are comfy. The rooms are adept at blocking noise and there are 4 lifts that operate quite fast so you never have to wait long.

  Service was great! Food choices were good! The only issue was that the Chinese restaurant allowed people to smoke inside even though there was a big no smoking sign outside the restaurant.

  There are at least two "very good reasons" to visit the Cititel Hotel!!!! One is the Hotel--- centrally located, good service, and not too expensive! The other reason is the weekend buffet suppers. These are very delightful--- and cannot be beat (especially if one is a "Senior") in terms of "Value for money"!!
  The Cititel Restaurant's Japanese Buffet is served ONLY on Sundays.... But, its a buffet worth waiting for! The fresh seafood, including oysters, scallops on the shell and prawns are a delight. The sushi and sashimi selections are broad and the quality is "top notch"-- in part due to the presence of very skilled Japanese chefs. But the buffet also includes a Japanese braised duck, lamb, soups and lots of deserts. The ambience of the restaurant and the professionalism of the staff just adds to the wonderful meals which we (7) enjoyed...
  Give it a try-- and you will be glad that you did!!

  Good service and easy to locate within Georgetown. Visible from far, able to find at ease. Nice breakfast buffet. Would visit again.

  The most strategically located hotel for travellers wishing to explore Georgetown and her streets. Reasonably priced, clean, and excellent breakfast spreads. I would say staying here is a lot better than anywhere nearer to Komtar (cos its just shopping there) if you are here for a UNESCO experience.

  Room is very clean and offers a good view of . Amenities are also well maintained and in good order. Free wifi is also provided within the hotel room and lobby.
  Would have been ideal if only a power outlet is provided by the bedside for guests to charge their mobile devices.

  Booked 3 rooms for a night. Thinking that deluxe room is bigger than the standard we booked 1 deluxe and 2 standard. The deluxe is just newly refurbished rooms and its on a higher floor. There are no bathtubs for deluxe. If you're getting the standard room, try an request for a corner room. Rooms are bigger and if you can get the seaview, you may be able to see the sunrise from your room.

  The place has great view as seen from my photo uploads, however (I'm not entirely sure whether it's the whole hotel/my room/or my floor) it's not a smoking hotel. So beware if not you will be fined RM300 just like me.

  Very decent hotel, strategic location along Penang Road. Easy access to night eateries and entertainment centers, within walking distance.
  
  The concierge staff are very friendly and welcoming, enjoyed chatting with them at the foyer.
  
  Sumptuous breakfast buffet spread at the coffee house.
  
  First time I've seen a breakfast buffet serving Japanese cuisine, exotic cheese and get this - real coffee machines for espresso, latte, Americano and cappuccino!
  
  Rooms are a little tight squeeze for a twin bed superior and are segregated into smoking and non smoking floors.
  
  A fridge is provided but it's unstocked, so bring your own mini bar and snacks.
  
  All in all, CitiTel is a pleasant place to stay in Georgetown.

  Breakfast restaurant has no enough exhaust fan, makes my hair and clothes so smelly after meal. Bathroom toilet bowl flushes to weak. Not much outlet to plug in your devices or charge.

  Place is a bit old & run down. I prefer the newer sister hotel Cititel Express even though it's smaller. Good location and friendly receptionist though.

  As a hotel I am guessing here, that, they must be good since they have lots of customers. My 5 stars is towards the buffet in their restaurant, they have a selection of local dishes on their Saturday lunch buffet menu, very friendly staffs, cozy surrounding.
  
  Hotel lobby staffs are very friendly. The location of the hotel is ideal for tourist who like a bit of shipping and walk around town, it sits on the beginning of Penang Road, one of the main and busiest road in Penang's downtown area.
