Awesome place. Way less tourists than other sites. Take a local guide to learn more about the place. Lots to discover and you can go everywhere on the ruins.

Stunningly preserved complex. It's quite empty most of the time, so it has a very peaceful atmosphere. Parts of this site basically look almost new. There are stucco murals that are very well preserved. The view from the top is quite nice; this site is in the middle of ranching country, so you see peaceful green pastures all around. Tip: hire a guide, if you speak Spanish.

This is a lesser famous but considerably large pyramid and is absolutely worth it to visit when on the way to visit Palenque the pyramid is beautifully kept in pristine condition with manicured grass due to low volume of visitors and therefore not overrun by throng of vendors hawking their wares. The historical significance of the site cannot be understated since it is Tonina that sacked the king of Palenque.

Woow Woooow, from the mesoamerica pyramids I've visited, this one was the absolute best! I am huge fan of mayan culture, soo civilized, so organized, so clean It was mesmerising. It's the biggest pyramid of mesoamerica (bigger than palenque) and all the mountains around the pyramid are actually more pyramids, just amazing. Tour guides are good, some have worked in the excavation, so they have great story's as well, very humble people.
If you want to use your drone, you need to get a permit, other wise they won't let you use it.
Also, there are 270 steps, very steep steps as well, so bring enough water, sunblock and highly recommend a big hat and sun glasses

De los mejores zonas arqueológicas que he visitado. En realidad no sabía que esperar pero al momento de ver ese gigante, toda duda se disipó. Una piramide enorme que claramente muestra el poderío y la capacidad de la cultura maya.
