Been snorkeling here a few times and it is lovely. Great place for beginners, those afraid of moving water, or first time snorkelers. Nice clam waters but still lots of fish to see. Five stars!

Get there early. Gets crowded with tours very quickly. We arrived when the gates opened and were able to enjoy snorkeling for an hour before large numbers of people dropped into the water. A little chilly in the fresh water, warms as it transitions to salt.

Beautiful out of the way place to snorkel near Akumal. Make sure you get there early enough so you can spend the day exploring the area. There is a lot of area to explore and they close at 4.30pm. The snorkel fee is reasonable and they rent snorkel equipment if you don't have any. This is a place we go to every time we visit Riviera Maya. Not crowded and very serene. You won't be disappointed.

Had a great time at this little gem of a spot! Perfect place to snorkel and enjoy seeing lots of fish up close. The rock formations in the water are pretty cool too.

As a first time snorkeler I loved this place! There were many fishes around the entrance; however, if you venture farther inwards, there are barely any. Still cool that you can see the water color differences where the ocean begins and the lagoon ends. We went on a Thursday afternoon for about 3 hours and it never got too crowded either! Left our belongings on a rock on the side and nobody touched it.
