My Boyfriend and I signed up for scuba diving for non-certfied divers. Within a couple hours Arturo assigned us to Victor of Pura Baja Tours in San Lucas. It was an incredible experience and everyone was kind and informative the whole time. We watched a video going over safety basics and then had a short demonstration and were fitted for snorkels and wet suites. We took a boat out to an area close to lover's beach that is a protected national park teaming with beautiful fish. Apparently, you can control descent here which is why it works for non-certified divers. I was much more nervous than I thought being a long-time ocean swimmer and snorkeler. We went over hand signals and talked through entering the water before we went in. After going over clearing goggles and adjusting our air, we were able to swim around through schools of fishes and over coral reefs. We had Victor leading us and another diver behind us the whole time. They checked in constantly giving us the OK signal. We were very lucky and had incredibly clear waters. We saw a ton of beautiful tropical fish and even some white-tipped sharks (not dangerous). Afterwards, our boat driver gave us a little sight seeing tour and showed us the famous arches and seal colonies. Overall an incredible experience and we are already looking into getting certified back home so we can do the more challenging dives next time. Thanks Arturo and Victor!!!

Staying in Cabo Pulmo and hanging out with Arturo was by FAR my favorite part of my trip to the Baja. He really went out of his way to make me feel welcome, to show me around, and to help me get the most out of my time there. I finished my scuba open water diver certification with Arturo in Cabo San Lucas, and we then drove together to Cabo Pulmo where we did another couple of dives, went hiking, shared several meals together, and even met up again after I went back to San Lucas when he gave me a ride to the airport. The whole experience with Arturo was way above and beyond my expectations. I would recommend any of the places he hosts to anyone who loves the outdoors, isn't afraid of roughing it a little bit, and wants a more authentic experience in the Baja than those offered in Cabo San Lucas. The bungalow was exactly as described. Came with a bed, extra blankets, 4 walls, a roof, and a bathroom. You're not going to spend much time there. Cabo Pulmo is a tiny town where it's almost impossible to get lost (I somehow managed to do so anyway). If you decide to check it out, I recommend asking to arrange a ride with Arturo. Hit him up for scuba instruction as well. And hike the trails! I would definitely go back to Cabo Pulmo and stay with Arturo. I hope I get the chance.

Tours Cabo did an excellent job helping me with my dive and trip to Cabo Pulmo, from a place to stay, to snorkeling, to trails, to a fabulous dive. Arturo was very helpful and Martin was a great dive guide.

We received a warm, friendly greeting in Cabo Pulmo from our host - Arturo. He was so gracious and welcoming onlookers would have thought we were old friends; and that is how it felt from then on. Arturo made it his mission to make sure we had a good time - going out of his way to show us around and introduce us to the village, inviting us to go hiking and bird watching. We scheduled diving with him for the following day which was the high point of our stay in Pulmo. Never have we had a dive guide who was so personally invested in making sure that we enjoyed the experience. The bungalow was as basic as our host, Arturo, was exceptional. The casita has a double bed, bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink. The bath and bed linens were clean as was the bungalow. One can walk easily to any part of the town from the "room", which is a 2 minute walk to the beach, restaurant, and all the dive centers. Any return to Cabo Pulmo will include a visit with Arturo.

we contacted Arturo for a dive in cabo pulmo, the conditions this date weren't good enough for diving so he was honest and refused to get our money. Something extremely rare for a tour company in Baja Instead he proposed visiting the countryside what a surprise! Couldn't have made a better choice! worth every minute. Arturo is an extremely responsable, educated, honest and easy going person
