The most beautiful energy I have ever felt from a pyramid. The best pyramid is the female which is facing Guatemala. Check your google maps to find out which one it is.

Get there early. Hours are 9 AM - 5 PM.

Stay till close!!!!! Life changing experience for many !!!!

Driving back the jungle at night hearing all the eco system in harmony is just incredible. Don’t forget the stars. Wish they had Events here at night- I would make the long trek. 7+ hours from Mérida.

    Amazing, must see!!!
The way to get there is through a private road of 60km, for which you pay at a gate at the beginning. The road is in quite bad condition, especially the second half, after the museum. Due to the numerus and unmarked potholes, it took us almost two hours to get to the parking lot.
We did not take a guide, there are many very informative boards inside, explaining the structures, history and some polititical and cultural background on Calakmul.
You can climb almost all structures, no. 2 and no. 1 are a must do!
If you watch out, you can also spot some animals in the jungle!

Very nice and not overcrowded with possibility to climb the piramids. 3 main 70 meters high piramids plus few smaller buildings to see.
Worth taking a tour guide which stopped us at the entrance to the complex 60min drive from ruins. Road wasn't too bad.
English Tour guide for 600 MXN in September. Palenque 1300!
    VERY NICE PLACE!

One of the highest Maya temples in Mexico located in the middle of the jungle! Absolutely worth the drive of 63 km on a jungle road to get there. Barely any tourists so pure joy to explore the magnificent temples. A must visit I'd say. 😉

Amazing place, if you are ever in the Yucatan take a day and a half to get down here and check it out. Go with a guide, there are fees at two entrances and you'll learn a lot with someone explaining it all to you. Much much more impressive to me than Chichen Itza. No crowds either.
