I visited on Sunday morning, October 30th 2016 and the weather was perfect. We walked around the town center until the bell for Mass rang. Mam Cita and I went into the open air church which was a cool respite from the 80 deg F temperatures outside.
After church, we ate pecado ( fish, Mero - Grouper) grilled at the Restaurante El Pescador. Whole Fried fish is more typical food fare, but my Dad and I like grilled fish, so we asked for the them to cut off the head and the tail and fillet the fish for grilling. He had a grilled fish sandwich, Patricia had a layered torilla entre and Mama Cita had a fish sandwich also. My meal was more than I could eat, with two whole grouper fillets, a mix of steamed cauliflower, broccoli and carrots with plantains. Jorge is the restaurante owner and he made us feel very welcome. He is a genuine nice gentleman.
As Leandro's review says, this town is very peaceful and it is a place where all your worries and stresses go away.
