The pictures don't do this 100+ year old Post office, which is still in use today. Great place to stop in and look in awe.
A beautiful example of baroque - clacissistic architecture. Height 28 m.
There's nothing to do here for a tourist, but don't let that stop you from walking in and enjoying an amazing bit of architecture.
Beautiful palace turned into a Post Office. Well, someone has to preserve this architecture's gem, right? So plase, contribute by sending postal letters or packages by Mexpost while enjoying the view. And remember to visit the museum above!
Very nice old post office in the center of Mexico City. It's free to enter so definitely worth a visit!

DOV: 19Aug2014 This is the most beautiful post office I have ever visited. Its excellent in structure, and interior is made of fully golden with extreme beauty. You will get latest stamps and miniature sheets here as well and good place for philatelic enthusiasts.
Vintage postal office . Great interiors and exteriors.
What a way to celebrate snail mail! The building is a marvel to behold, every bit from the inside out is gorgeous. It also doubles as a museum for mail services in Mexico and it's history with other temporary galeries.
A must see in Mexico!
Amazing architecture. It IS a palace!
Entrance is free (it's a post office after all) so don't miss it.
A few exhibits inside.
Also known as " Correo Mayor" this main postal office is home to one of the most beautiful stair cases in the world. It is open to the public and one can take pictures of the beautiful metal work alongside the railings and the fully functional original elevator. Definitely a must see and best of all is free of charge!
