A very nice natural park! At the top you can find two lagoons inside the crater, and whereas you are going up you can enjoy a great forest on your way.

The place is wonderful! Great views, two lakes with de-icing water (that you can come close) and the rikes takes a lot of your energy, since it's veeeery high: 4 thousand meters (15 thousand feet)!!! So, go slow, take a breath and keep going, until the top. Worth it! :)

Be carefully if there is a blizzard cause you won't be able to see anything. Worth going but have in mind you will walk at least 5 hrs

This place is beautiful. Very little vegetation grows here that gave this place an unique landscape. The road to the top of the mountain is not very good though, it is gravel road, hence driving is painful. The place is crowded too. But the landscape is beautiful. I hiked to lake of the moon. The lake is not that big.

It's a very beautifull place and easy to reach from Mexico city. With beautifull lakes touching the mountains and the moutains touching the blue sky, it's a must. We can camp here and get to view sunrise. No options for food. One can either walk or take the truck from the bottom.

Amazing an magical place that should be on everyone's to-do list! You should look to arrive early (around 9.30-10.00 A.M) as the access road sometimes gets packed and you might need to walk a lot to get to the entrance and first climb area!

It was a great experience climbing El Nevado. Beautiful sights a scence of freedom and serenity. To see a volcano with a lake at its crater just an hour from Mexico City is awesome.

If you have zero condition, don't come. Else, you will find this place cold but beautiful at the same time. The sight is awesome and it's quite safe, I mean, I never felt any sort of danger. One bad point is that it kindda lacks of people to aid you.

Nice place to go and walk around, be prepared with cane or skiing canes for go up and down. Be careful with the visitors they drive like crazy on a little dirt road

Beautiful landscape, amazing place for backpackers. The park lacks in estruture for the orientation of the visitants. If you go there is better go with someone who already had been there, in other way you are in your own. However, the effort worth.

Beautiful hike. Very quick if you drive up to near the rim. If recommend hiking the top portion with an outfitter. The altitude does thanks some getting use to.
