Time traveling isn't possible yet, but this almost feels like it. So much history so much culture, so much to learn about a beautiful and majestic city. I was born, and raised in Guanajuato, and I have to say if you visit here it's critical that you see this museum. You're going to be enlightened by the rich history and culture that Guanajuato has to offer!

This museum is within the sprawling Guanajuato's Cultural Center. Architecturally interesting, the best part is perhaps its collection of reproductions of Greek statues. Another museum room explains the history of Guanajuato state, with very good museography.

It is a great museum and good exhibition of local history. But it doesn’t have English introduction or audio guide.

The art outside in the garden was the highlight for me. I didn't speak enough Spanish to benefit from all of the exhibits. The collection of sculpture on the ground level are all reproductions. The temporary exhibit of Japanese art was very interesting.

La Mecque de l'art et la culture dans la ville. Une salle d'expositions permanentes à propos de la culture locale et choix intéressants d'expos temporaires. Cadre très agréable. Accueil peu soigneux, en général.

The beacon of culture and art from this city. Not the only one for sure, but the most important. With the library, the museum, the music forums and the open air events they set up from time to time. It is one of the highlights of Leon, a must go to if you are a tourist.
