This is a neat park to visit; it has statues and many restaurants to visit nearby. It is worth it to walk through.
With an hour you should be good. It's a quaint little plaza. There are eateries around, and it's a cool little "hey I went there" place, when you see it on TV.
Nice place to just take a clean air brither, watch kids have fun. Just a nice place to get you stress out. Live is a gift.
I would definitely recommend to visit this place. Currently is not operating due to the pandemic.
When they open, you should come to hear live marimba show.
It is a good park to talk and kick your shoes there is Ben atmosphere
Awsome! Life music every night. Dancing and friendly atmosphere.
The marimba museum directly next to the park was amazing, 3 of us were treated to a 15 minute private performance at the end of a guided tour for the price of 10 pesos/person (we also bought a CD).
Excellent place to see people dance and have a good time. Buy a Pozol next to the "kiosko", seat on a bench to hear the music and see the dancers.
Had a great time here it was fantastic to meet some of the locals, which were extremely friendly and always willing to take me out to dance. One of the individuals I met was an elderly man, who gave me the scoop on half of the town that was there dancing lol I laughed the entire night and enjoyed the atmosphere tremendously. Even met The Queen of El Parque de la Marimba she introduced her self as such, but the elderly man told me that she was actually not the queen haha but considered herself the I-Ternal queen in the park! Highly recommend this little spot!
They have marimba after 6pm. It was the only fun when we visited Tuxtla. The park is a little dirty. They should have announced that there would be no marimba on a long weekend. We as tourists dont have the chance to enjoy it everyday.
The only thing I could advise was the ice cream shop named Maya. I came to buy here 3 times in one day :)
Historic plaza with live music and people dancing around the kiosk. There's live music every day after sunset!
Buen lugar para escuchar música en vivo típica del estado, bailar y tomar un delicioso café, helado o aperitivo en cualquiera de sus cafeterías o establecimientos alrededor.
It is a wonder Park in the tuxtla Gutiérrez city, every afternoon the people arrive at place to listen marimba and dancing. There are many places to visit around this park
Nice place to chill out, but the city doesn't offer much.
You can have a nice walk, listen some folklore music and eat something.
A place to see and listen to live music on the evenings. Maybe if you are brave enough dance some. Family ambient
A place to enjoy the people and traditions of Tuxtla, there are many around to eat or have a good time
Best place in Tuxtla to see The Marimba Music! The locals go to dance in the outdoors, it's the best. Friendly atmosphere, nice music, the main attraction is to hang around, dance and try out the tamales de mole!
Is a historic park with live marimba music, every night you can dance different kind of rythms with your mate or meet someone else to dance. So familiar environment, I just love it.
Nice park with some shade trees. Kids doing shoe shines.
lovely park, great shade trees, beautifully taken care of. great for just sitting and watching the march of humanity. Chiapaz rocks.
