  Nestled in a canyon snaking upwards from around 2500m up to 3300m above sea level you'll find Mexico City's only living river (not diverted or buried underground), in the park named for the hydroelectric generators that used to exist and provided the first electricity for the city. Great place for biking, running, hiking, picnicking, etc. Most facilities exist in the lower half of the park but you'll find some small food stands up near the top as well. Being here doesn't feel at all like being in a city: you're completely surrounded by trees and mountains.

  This is another "hidden Jewel" of Mexico City. It is a deep river valley with a park. The small resaturants are inexpensive and delicious. You will find the best nature views of all of Mexico City here!

  A hidden park that suddenly pops out from piled up hovels. A woods style an a creek might invite you to meditate and get some "quesadillas", and you can start a party if you and your friend fell like. Remember, do not come alone. Parks ain't safe in this city.

  Excellent place for a quick trip with your family and friends.
  Enjoy the only living river near Mexico City. Weather you want to do some trekking, camping, escalating, have a pick nick or ride a horse, it's a grate place for this and more.
