I did two tours: Calakmul and a morning hike. Both were great experiences, and the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The only downside was that the minivan we traveled in was just a bit too "cosy" and rather uncomfortable - so if you have a car and don't mind driving, self-transport might be a better option.

We enjoyed our full day tour from Xpujil to the Calakmul archeological site and bioreserve. Our guide Ezekiel was very friendly and knowledgeable of the sites as well as the animals and plants around. We saw monkeys, snake, butterflies and various birds. He was also able to point out dangerous bugs and poisonous plants. I would definitely recommend those visiting to have a guide to enjoy the sites and to stay safe.

Vale la pena contratar los servicios completos de Kaan Expeditions, ya que la experiencia para conocer realmente Calakmul y su esplendor tiene que ser en manos de un experto. Cultura, naturaleza y un mundo que no conocíamos se puede descubrir en la Ciudad Maya de Calakmul!!!

Wir wurden pünktlich am Hotel abgeholt und auch dort wieder abgesetzt. Der Guide war sehr nett und gut informiert. Zudem gabs einen Riegel als Snack zwischendurch, Wasser und im Anschluss noch ein Sandwich, Softdrinks und Obst. Die Tour ist allerdings schon anstrengend - lohnt sich aber insgesamt
