  It costs a lot to climb but it deserves the huge effort. I got elevation 4700 m. 500 m remains to the top. Go boys

  It is a very special place, it has an incredible landscape, it breathes fresh air, its natural waterfalls are beautiful, you spend unforgettable moments in this place and you also have the option to eat typical dishes of the region at a great price.

  We drove up from the Puebla side. The road is fairly ugly and it will take some time. Take your own food and drinks as we didn't see anyone selling up on top. There is a nice center at the top with free bathrooms.
  Please check with authorities before going up as the current status of Popocatepetl is in flux. The road up to the top from Mexico State is paved and much nicer.
  The saddle between the two peaks is around 12,000 by my GPS, so Acute Mountain Sickness is quite possible. If you start to experience headache, nausea or shortness of breath then you are probably beginning to experience AMS and you should begin to return to lower elevation to prevent a more severe illness.
  It is quite nice and there are some nice trails to hike for most fitness levels.

  Awesome!!! Very nice place to those who love adventures. Although I was scared 😅because we went like a week after the Volcano was active. But, over all was Great!!! 😍 for the entrance you have to pay like 35 pesos is like 1.78 dollar .😁

  Beautifully located in front if both Itzaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl Volcanos. There is a small museum explaining the legend of the warrior and his love.

  We barely speak any Spanish, and didnt know what we were doing, and still managed to make the gorgeous drive out from Mexico City to visit Izta- Popo National Park on Saturday. It is a spectacular area, full of friendly people. We couldn’t have asked for more.

  It is a beautiful place, where you breathe fresh air, also you can eat craving for panettone, rabbit meat, carnitas. You are bound to visit the surrounding villages.
