Amazing place to visit! Water shoes is a must! Water proof case for cell is a great idea if you wanna take pics in water. Rooms are not luxurious but decent and comfortable.

Seriously amazing! I went mid-week, off season and it was fairly chill and totally glorious. I see someone saying "packed with people" but i think that's how it goes in Mexico, hard to predict when things will be busy. However, if you're lucky like I was and many others, you'd totally love it! Yes lots of rocks, it's a natural hot spring. either harden up or buy some of the water shoes. It's rad! Enjoy!

It's a beautiful place, really nice to feel in peace. It's full in nature. Something I didn't like was that on weekends it's full in it's capacity so you can't find a room in the hotels available. The options left is camping or go to local homes and ask if there's any space left. Overall, an amazing place!

Such a beautiful place. It's a hidden gem in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. Definitely recommend if you want to get away from the city life. It's about 40min away from the nearest village and it is very unlikely to get any phone reception. The hotel offers basic amenities such as light, running water, and one plug to charge a phone or camera battery. But don't be discourage as mother nature has lots to offer. There are beautiful waterfalls, hiking trails, and caves. The food isn't to great, but if you are willing to drive there are plenty of vendors outside that serve some of the most authentic traditional food in the region. Give a try, you won't regret it!

Everything was beautiful but the lack of info they provided about the rooms and the camping would be nice of it was on grass not concrete. You pretty much have to go before 8 am to get a room. Bring water shoes bc there is a lot of rocks along the water

Amazing place to visit. Friends, family or partner. Take a tent and camp out, buy wood and marshmallows, beers. Beautiful views! Make sure you check the weather. If you arrive on the weekend, arrive EARLY. This place is packed with people!

Absolutely beautiful and unique. Stay for the day or better yet, spend the night in a cabin, hotel room, or tent right by the warm, blue river. There are caves and waterfalls and other natural features to explore as well as swimming pools, hot tubs, restaurants, and other man-made "improvements." Unless you love squadrons of children, it's best to avoid school holidays.

It is a place to be completely disconnected of all your daily work. If you go in holidays, you will not find any hotel, for which you need to camp. There is no internet connection. It is really hot, no credit cards accepted, but you will enjoy if you love landscapes.

I have been in different hot springs in different countries, even if the view is nice this are the worse I have known till now and I will explain why: they don't accept credit card, only cash, so the next ATM machine is in a city at 30 min from Tolantongo. ATT is missing, you will get only Telcel signal, if work with internet this is important to take in consideration. The hotels does not have air conditioning, so avoid to go in warm holidays because sleeping in that hot room is not possible. There is no hot water in the bathrooms in the rooms, this is the worst astonishing thing I found in the hotels in Tolantongo. The hotel will give you few to towels, so is best if you take your own towels for the hot springs. In the pozas watch out of the mosquitoes, better is you take a repellent and check your hotel room that the windows has the mosquito nets not broken or your night will become a nightmare. The food in any of the restaurants I have been there is in general very bad quality and there is not much options, I can not understand how in a hot spring place there is only the unhealthy Mexican menu. This hot springs are nice maybe to go one time to see the views because are nice and that's it. I will never return back to this place again.
