My wife was hospitalized in February in acute medical condition. She received world class medical help that most likely saved her life. The staff- doctors, nurses- performed above and beyond their call of duty. They cared for her every medical and personal needs without hesitation. The emergency room staff and intensive care staff saved her life. The Public Relations staff made myself and her feel like we were with family and not at a hospital far from home. A very special personal family thank you to Dr Alvarez, Dr Acosta and Heidy.

If there was an option for no stars thats what they should get. They only want money and extort the scared loved ones of the patients to inflate prices and charge thousands upon thousands before they will even "see" the patients that need help, leaving them to their own devices to pay the "ransom" so they can get the help they need. This is a complete scam!!!!! Stay away!!!

This hospital should be closed down they treat it as a money making business and the level of care is extremely low! The hospital took advantage of me as I was English they did not get consent before carrying on treatment nor did the doctor confirm any prices! Absolutely appalled!!!!

    STAY AWAY

    You have been warned.
The staff here are unprofessional. Someone in our group was not well and was transfered to this hell hole. I personally took a cab here from our resort once I found out. They did not touch the patient until they confirmed the patient had insurance. This was a heart problem and could have ended badly. Long story short they gave us a room ignored us without any food after promising something to the patient as she is diabetic. They said we will bring you something to eat. They did not do so for over 2 hours. We were held hostage for 8 hours here. We demanded we wanted to leave and they said they were waiting to hear back from the Insurance company. Hospiten tried to bill our insurance for a over night stay when we were literally being held hostage. I literally had to and I'm not kidding go out of a side door . we snuck out as it was like a horror movie. We walked scared down the road at 9pm. Made our way to a restaurant after a 20 minute walk. (2 woman) asked the restaurant to call us a cab to our resort. We are two woman .. Mother and daughter gravelling from Canada. Insurance is w manulife which is great and have had to use them before w no issues. Please be aware of this place. All they want is your money and they really dont care about anything else. Monsters .. They should pay in hell like another person mentioned. Shame on you Hospiten 👎🏼 I am so furious.

Extorts patients and threatens to throw preemie babies out on the streets if you do not keep paying them. Good reason not to travel to mexico!

Beware of this hospital, they take advantage of people in need and only care about getting as much money from you as they can. They tried everything not to work with our insurance company, including telling them they did not have a fax machine, eventhough I saw a couple. The ran expensive and unescessary test. The staff was rude, unprofessional and broke Mexican privacy laws. They will keep you "hostage" until they get lots of money wgile avoiding your travel insurance. I believe the local resorts and ambulances are part of this scam and the ambulances take tourist to this place. Americans if you end up here, get the U.S. embassy and your insurance involved ASAP.

I'll give them none starts but its not possible. DON'T GO TO HOSPITEN CANCUN !!!!!If you want to be seen as an open banking account you definitely want to come here. They DON'T know what 'Human Care' means, they just see you as a source of money.

They DON"T speak English and if they do they can barely make themselves understandable. HOSPITEN: whith the amount of money you charge to foreign people YOU MUST HAVE A MEDICAL INTERPRETER!

Very unprofessional staff, rude and nasty. Could not get paperwork from them and could not get staff who can help me obtain my medical history for my insurance.

We were at this hospital last week and received amazing care from the moment we arrived. The emergency Doctor and nurses spoke English, the specialist doctor also spoke English. Some of the other nurses did, some not. We were very grateful for that as we do not speak any Spanish. Every one we dealt with was fantastic - emergency, ICU, and on the regular ward. Fantastic health care was provided. We are so very grateful for everyone at this hospital. Highly recommended !!!

One star is really giving more credit to this facility and its staff than deserved. My daughter became ill while we were on vacation in Cancun. We were sent to this hospital for her to receive an IV for dehydration and told by the doctor we would be there 3-4 hours. We were there 6 hours and NO ONE on the staff came to check on her during this whole time unless I pushed the button to call for a nurse. The IV stopped working halfway through the treatment and no one knew because they were not monitoring her progress. There was a serious language barrier which heightened our vulnerability in this situation. The injections she was given as well as the needle used for the IV were huge and consequently very painful. The facility was less than sanitary as the bed she was placed on when we first arrived had no sheet whatsoever covering the pad which had 2 stains on it that appeared to be dried blood. This was the kind of nightmare you read about but think will never happen to you. BEWARE travelers to Mexico.
