History:

Great Dane LM was founded on July 5, 2007.

Since she was little she dreamed of having a house full of dogs and other animals. When I was 3 years old, they gave me my first dog, it was a cocker springer, it was called Puppy, that's why I fell in love with dogs, in the family we had dogs of all breeds; French Poodle, Akita, German Shepherd, Street Adopted No Breed, Fox Terrier, Cocker Spaniel, Bull Terrier, Giant Schnauzer, Dalmatian, Golden Retriever, Doberman, Rottweiler, Chihuahua, Shar-Pei, Groenendael Shepherd, and Saint Bernard.

But I will never forget that day when I was only 5 years old when I visited my godmother's house located in the La Paz neighborhood in Puebla. That day changed my life. I had a Great Dane named Fortunato, he was a gigantic black dog and at my young age I remember him as a horse, he licked my arms and left me as if a bucket of water had been thrown at me. I remember that my godmother always said that she bit the hands of the cleaning ladies who tried to open the drawers of the furniture, and she sat in a Louis XV armchair. From that day on I discovered that it was the dog I had always looked for. When I was 14 years old, I had already raised enough money to buy my first Great Dane, since my parents never gave me money other than the essentials and they put the ideology that if I wanted something that I would work to obtain it.

The name of the kennel refers to the breed name "German Mastiff" commonly called "Great Dane" from a German history (See History of the Great Dane). More LM which is my name Liz Macías.

Currently Great Danes LM is a world-renowned kennel, making national shipments in Mexico and internationally to countries within the American and European continents.

Great Dane standard
In 1880, during an exhibition held in Berlin, the first standard for the Great Dane was set. It has been controlled by the "Deutscher Doggen-Club 1888 eV" and altered a few times over the years. (Last update in 2012) The current version conforms to the FCI model.

The standard is an approximation of what a Great Dane should look like.
As the standard itself says, the illustration does not necessarily show an ideal Great Dane, since each specimen may vary slightly due to its Genotypes and Phenotypes and be an excellent specimen for the breed.

We must remember that preserving good characteristics or losing them is the breeder's responsibility and that a pedigree does not guarantee a correct specimen, nor are all puppies in a litter necessarily ideal for exhibition or breeding, the breeder must have a good eye when choosing correctly which specimens to keep and it will reproduce so as not to dilute genes or lose good characteristics.
