Great Dentist! Super clean and hygienic. Managed to get an appointment on the day.
Lovely reception and dental staff. Great level of English, for any non Spanish speakers. Very reasonably priced and didn’t feel anxious at any point.response / report this review -

Implants in Montreal is very expensive and I was not very impressed by my dentist. Searched google for a dentist in Playa Del Carmen and found Dr. Castroman. I was doubtful about the whole thing until the doctor started explaining to me what should be done. He was sometimes struggling to find the English words for what he wants to say. My dentist in Montreal was trying to find a way to avoid doing the implant for one upper tooth because I can not bend my neck up due to fused joints. Dr. Castroman noticed the problem, and his solution was that he break his neck and do it, and I was grateful. I ended up with three implants in one visit. I had no pain and very little bleeding in the first night. Four days before our departure my wife broke a tooth while eating pizza and had an implant. We saw him in the old clinic in downtown, but he did the implants in his modern clinic ten minutes drive from downtown. And we love his smile.

My husband and I had a really good experience with Dr. Castroman. We love both office locations, and more than anything his staff is really nice and we were treated really well. They have a lot of patience, and really made the effort to make us feel safe & pain free all the sessions.
He has a lot of knowledge and a lot of different suggestions to approach each situation. Prices are reasonable and we will be back for more work, and of course a little holiday.response / report this review -

Excellent experience. I had two molars that were removed and needing implants. Implants not being covered by my employer, I chose to come to Mexico to get the work done & am very happy I did. Dr. Castroman and the staff at Dental Spa were great and made me feel well looked after. The work was pro: quick, clean & the level of communication was far above what I am used to getting in Canada. Even having to come to Playa twice, 1st for the titanium screw then months later for the crowns, I will still pay only half of what it would have cost me in Canada including travel & get a lovely holiday. I found my dentist for any major work. I highly recommend Dental Spa Playa Del Carmen.

I came to fix several caries and a good clean up.
What I can tell you is one of the best caring facilities I ever been.
The doctors are really caring and profesional.

We typically go to our dentist in the UK but as we were on a longer than usual holiday in the Riviera Maya, we decided to stop by for advice on some filling replacements my wife had pending. And how happy we are that we run into Dr. Victor Castroman at Dental Spa in Playa del Carmen! Schedulling an appointment was really easy. The front desk person was very polite and efficient. The dental work was very detailled and professional. My wife ended up having four filling replacements and some aesthetic work done all within two days. The results were brilliant. Cannot tell the difference with the work done in UK (except service was a lot better at Dental Spa!); the prices were much more affordable than back home. We were really impressed and are really considering going back for dental work in the future (a tooth replacement in the UK will certainly pay for a nice holiday plus the dental work!). Thank you Dr. Castroman and team.

Went to see Dr. Castroman for a complicated premolar extraction, bone graft, dental implant and temporary crown installment. Prior to my first visit, I researched dentists who could perform said procedure in both Cancun and Playa del Carmen as this implant was not covered by my own dental plan coverage in Canada and I was going to Mexico on vacation for 2 weeks so that provided me with the perfect timeframe to have the procedure completed.
Dr. Castromán was very accomodating, provided open, quick and consistent communication with me and facilitated an honest and upfront approach to his practice. Dr. Castroman educated me on the procedure, perscribed antibiotics for a pre existing infection that should have been caught by my own dentist in Canada and didn't try to upsell me on recommended work to garnish additional business, nor guage me on prices for the work I recieved.
Dr. Castromán was very professional, made me feel comfortable and provided me with an accurate time frame for the completion of the work that was required which would take a minimum of 3 visits (consult, extraction, bone graft, implant installation and then the temporary crown placement). Dr. Castromán also advised me that I should wait 6 months before the permanent crown installation to allow adequate time for healing and bone/implant stabilization. Whereas, alternate dentists told me the procedure (extraction, bone graft, implant and temporary placement) would only take 30 minutes in total and to come back within 4 months to have my crown installed; however, I already knew the time frame was unrealistic and they were only saying that to get my business (the old adage, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is).
The procedure was pain free, with no after surgery complications nor discomfort and the temporary fitting was excellent, much better than my own dentist in Canada.by far!
I plan to go back to see Dr. Castromán to have my other implants installed in 6 months and would highly recommend him to my family or anyone else seeking dental work.response / report this review -

This Dentist, Dr. Castroman was wonderful! My daughter slipped and fell at the hotel we were staying at this past week on our family vacation on 1st real day of our vacation. We immediately hailed a taxi and asked to be taken to a dentist and we were taken.
Dr. Castroman was very attentive to the needs of my daughter, calmed her down and began to examine her and take x-rays while re-assuring us everything was going to be okay. He was able to temporarily bind her teeth so the healing could begin and gave her some medication to relieve inflammation. He asked to come back for follow up 2 days later to see how her teeth were doing and she complained she could not really eat. Dr. Castroman did a little magic on her so that she could eat and he even referred us to a dentist and colleague of his so that my daughter could continue to get the best care when our vacation was over to begin the process to bringing back her beautiful smile.
Dr. Coastroman is a "10 star" dentist, thank you so much for going above and beyond for my daughter, we will never forget what you did for us!response / report this review -

Nice guy, efficient, took his time, paid attention to detail. Very clean. Fluent in English, had a crown put in beautifully I could not even tell which one was my tooth and which one was the crown. I'm sending my sister there as well.
When I'm back in Playa I will have a lot more dental work. Highly recommended! And it's a quarter of the price from north a America. Grazie Dr Castroman.response / report this review -

Went for a hole in my tooth, he says I need 4 fillings. I let him fill top 2 where hole is; afterwards, same hole, still there. Apparently working by sight without xrays is insufficient. But after cleaning my teeth were sparkly white so bonus point for that
