This is a nice little place to walk around, buy things and have some entertainment. There's a big pool that everyone can use and also a dolphin experience right in port. That's also something fun to watch. Be sure to know the restaurants only accept credit cards, no cash. All in all a nice place, the sales people at stores were a little pushy and for those who speak Spanish some were quite vulgar when speaking about some of their customers.

An OK cruise port. Not as developed as say Cozumel. One of the main tourist beach areas that is a little drive away from the pier often has college spring break crowds – can be quite the party atmosphere if you’re into that.

A nice cruise port. Very beautiful here. The water is so blue. Was quite a walk to the excursion shuttles but the port had nice shops and pools. Relaxing atmosphere and beautiful. Wish I had a little longer here to check everything out but after our Mayan Ruins excursion we only had a couple hours to spend here. I would definitely like to go back.

Typical cruise port with most things in the shop found anywhere you would go as a tourist in Mexico. Decent prices for being this part of town.
Down side is to get our of the touristy part you have to walk the full half moon and back just to get to the taxi service.
Nice pool with wade up bar service, and sand inside to make it feel like the beach

A decent cruise port. Typical of the area. First time here and found it clean with lots of options for little trinkets and bars. Some merchants can be a little chatty, but they are just trying to get you to look at their waresI have no issue with that.

Decent port in terms of layout and amount of stores and experiences offered, but a few too pushy sale people. Also, prices were pretty high for certain places and items. They do offer a one way taxi into the "downtown" area for a small fee, though.

Nice culture and nice scenery. It is definitely a tourist location. The people selling merchandise is very rude.

This port is an absolute tourist trap. You are basically required to walk past every shop with their pushy salesmen before you can get to the exit. My most important tip: if you are going to buy souvenirs here, buy them closest to the exit out of the port into the city, the shops closest to the ship are a ripoff. I did not stay in this area during my time on land however there was a pool with a swim up bar with great music and an area where you could swim with dolphins.

It's a wee bit of a long walk from the ships to the portthere is a shuttle but I'm glad we didn't wait for it because we encountered a great picture taking opportunity on the pier. (I'll add pix to this review)
The port is busy, offers lots of places to shop, places to eat, and is up-beat, clean and attractive.
There is a continuous 'show' in the center of the shopping area that is ancestors of The Papantla People. 5 men climb a 70+ foot pole and then 4 jump off tied by their ankle with a rope. 'Dance of The Flyers'. The 5th stays at the top playing drums and a flute. Legend has it that this brings on the rain. Colorful, exciting and unique

Carnival's cruise port built to ease congestion off of Cozumel. It is nice and clean, but very overpriced. Don't waste your money in the restaurants. It's cheaper to eat and drink on the ship. You should expect to haggle in all other stores. Don't pay more than 50% of asking price for about anything for sale in the "Locals" shops.

Nice, clean port only for tourists, visitors. Several shops, inflated prices. They actually expect you to bargain. People usually spend no more than 30 mins until they get transportation to attractions. (Main attraction: Kohunlich, of course.)

This port was probably built by the cruise lines to get more money from tourists..Constant nagging from the vendors trying to sell their items and if you buy never pay the asking price,always barter at least half.
The aerial performers were doing their act every 30 minutes it seemed and "Mayans" in full costume were there to take pictures with tourists for a "donation" of course. You can catch a taxi and venture outside the port but there is really nothing there to see unless your on a tour excursion..
All in all there were many shops and several restaurants to keep us busy for a few hours and the place was clean.
